Backyard Blossom all started when I was sitting at home during the pandemic. I was working as a full time RN in the hospital. It was stressful, hard, scary; and it was eye-opening. I spent my time trying to find a way to bring people joy, flowers can help! I began bringing flowers to work with me during my shift and saw first hand how it definitely changes the work atmosphere in times of stress and turmoil.

I started remembering the fun times with my father in the garden and the smiles on other’s faces when we shared our veggies with them. I began researching, came upon the idea of starting my own plants from seeds. Before long, I got the help from my father and my husband. I was able to grow my first plants from seed!

It didn’t take long before I came across the seeds for some cut flowers. Then the idea struck me... A cut flower garden. I can grow my own cut flowers. With everything going on in the world today, this is something that is definitely needed more now than ever before!
