Whatever happened to the band of Casey County? It is almost gone now. Only 15 or 16 in the whole band now 😢
Im in it and its probably because of a bunch of people losing hope, graduating, and band directors leaving. Next year if nobody joins there will be only 8 people but i think there will be more.
@@adenrivera4800 I saw y’all the other day at Pulaski County and I was sad to see the size of y’all now
Now y’all did good don’t get me wrong but y’all got small and I was not expecting y’all to be as small as y’all are now.

Our finals comp is tomorrow so I thought I’d watch what everyone at school is talking about since I have seen it-HCHS marching band freshman

Hi coleton-
Why the same ending every year tho??
because
fair fair
Jayden Riggs why? Because it wins a championship every year
@@marchingstreams2021 Bruh, Adair outscored bourbon at grand nats. Sit down. Not to mention Russell bea them twice in 2018 at Oxford, Kmea semifinals. Again, sit down pup.
chase joh In the end, Boco got their 3-peat and National Championship, Russel got their favorite 2nd place finish, and Adair (actually) got their grand nats was prelims elimination. I’m not in boco but you have to give them credit and stop being a scumbag.
I miss this
very good 10 out 0f 10
Do you know where the music at 5:11 comes from?
The music is called the witch and the saint.
Adair County is a program I’ve looked forward to seeing every year since I ran across their 2014 show “Invictus” during my freshman year. I finally got to see them live at Grand Nationals in 2015 my sophomore year. They always set a presence for themselves that’s unlike any other.
Their incredible history goes back to at least the late 1980s. Back then NO ONE, who was wanting to win a championship, let alone win their own class, wanted to see Adair County busses rolling in. Just a program with poise, show style and class unlike any other in the state of Kentucky at least. Adair proved to the world that you DO NOT have to be large to beat the bigger bands.
What a stupid concept
"Stupid" is a matter of opinion. In my experience with art, people who throw out negative words like "stupid" or "ugly" simply tend to lack the ability to comprehend or appreciate the art being presented to them, and they are in the vast minority. This show bears a resemblance to a show by Lawrence Township a few years ago that made Grand National finals in BOA. I'm guessing you also considered that one stupid? I'm not saying you're wrong, because this is a matter of opinion. But you would be one of very few who believed that.
@@timibershoff494 I saw your band during Grand nationals, but didn't actually get to see your performance. What was you show based on? I only got to see the props and was wandering if it was about the first atom bomb that was dropped.
Mr. Bushido about how they didn’t make semis
@@paradiselost1247 that may have been my bands fault 😁
I just want to say 6:27 is the most badass moment I’ve seen in marching band

Skyrim music?
Yes can confirm, just very late
So good
Where can I find a list of the competing bands and the adjudicators for this contest?
It's on kyband.com
I'm from the Grant County MB and I just wanna say this show is really cool. Good job, you guys! My favorite show by far this year.
I can't wait to see how you and South Laurel stack up against one another on Saturday. Best of luck to you guys!
I certainly would be! Any time one of the competitive competitive groups at my school would do well, I would be proud to be a part of the school who made it happen. Also, winning the governor's cup is a VERY exclusive thing, and it means your school's band is #1. That would fill me with pride if it happened for my school, even though I'm already long since graduated. That's just me, though.
What instrument did you play?

Where is this school located Kentucky? I enjoyed the show.

Wow
In all honesty we've been stalking this band and other bands that are playing War Dance this year. Just wondering but what size school is this? Just curious :^)
East Jessamine High School typically has between 975 and 1,100 students in grades 9-12. Their 2017-2018 enrollment was 1,030.
4A , but the band is really small.

You guys had a solid run. Have fun with your trophy. Although I support Harrison because there my home band. You guys did do good, I won't lie about that👌
XDIE Protocol sorry about any beef my dude. I have a few friends from Russell who was at mad centrals contest and were quite impressed
No problem, it's just a friendly rivalry. I can tell you guys have cleaned and it's shown, so good job. Keep up the good work and you'll do great. 3A is an interesting category this year and will probably be the most intense and closest fight aside from 5A. It's gonna be fun to watch State this year👌👌👌
I recorded your all's performance and have it posted but it's unlisted. If you want to see it, let me know. I'd be glad to share👌
Your students execute the musical and visual elements with accuracy and clear technique! The show is well-written for both entertainment and competition. The sound quality is clear and well balanced. Keep it up!
Will you be posting any bands at all this year?
I have had to take a step back from going to competitions due to health and scheduling conflicts, so I haven't even been able to make it to a competition yet this season. Even then... it would depend on whether KMEA's stance on video recording has changed since they started making announcements discouraging video recording late last season.
Stop copying the Bluecoats!
Why? It's good source material.
Are you the director?
It was really dirty, too, especially the percussion.
They are such a great Marching Band & they've had an amazing, creative show. I can't stop watching this! I'm also ecstatic & proud to say that one of the Colorguard members is now my guard instructor.
Considering the difficulty of this music, and the size of the band, it really isn't that bad.. people are just being assholes.
BearDoof I've seen other high school bands, and one of similar size, pull this show off very well. This is just a case of a band director putting more emphasis on flair than on fundamentals, I love cool visuals and difficult music just as much as the next guy but they need to focus on producing a good tone and being able to march well before that comes into play, and the director needs to know what music their band is capable of performing well
given their size this is actually pretty good especially the closer
Fantastic Marching Band! You all really did some awesome stuff with the music. Low Brass slayed he Firebird in the opener (2:20 and 2:46 YES!) , and offered some great bass lines in part 2 with the Blue Shades (5:30). Go High Brass and Woodwinds in the opener with all that wild articulation and technical passages (3:20). Clarinet soloist really sang! Guard great job selling the music! Pit just as fantastic as the wind players. Overall, brilliant! I really felt the emotions being conveyed, from fun and sassy to mournful and nostalgic. Well Done.
how tf did the show go from sisters separated at birth to spies???
Apparently plagiarism doesn't apply to high school marching bands
Tweet87 - If the band director purchases sync and arrangement rights for any copyrighted material, it's not plagiarism, much like performing a Shakespearean play is not plagiarism of Shakespeare.
[Insert random snarky comment about a marching band copying a drum corps show here, because it's cooler to do that than to appreciate the presentation the band put on the field and the musicianship of the kids who performed it] Yay, look at me doing the "in" thing, I'm so popular!
Tim Ibershoff It really is a good performance though...
Cringe on a whole new level

I loved marching in this band they have all become family to me and can I say I will miss with all my heart the 4 seniors that will not be with us next season but will always be with us in our hearts you all will be missed
Very sorry for your loss. Prayers!!
Wish my school can afford a show like that.. perks to being in the poorest state in the nation I guess
Brady Wood - It's all a matter of funding. This band has good community support and does a great job with its fundraising, so they can afford to pay for the things to build a nice, shiny visual package and musical arrangement for marching band.
Tim Ibershoff That's amazing that y'all can do that! But even with fundraisers we don't get enough because our area doesn't have enough to give to it... we have uniforms that are 20 years old right now... but congrats to this band, they're great!
I think I read your original post wrong. Sorry about that. Yeah, I get that some communities just don't have the resources available to afford much for their school organizations. The poorer a community is, the more imaginative and resourceful the band staff needs to be to build a quality marching band show. You're also correct that, while Paris, KY isn't that big or that rich, there are still a lot more resources available there than in the smaller communities in the country. Their main rival in their class here in Kentucky is Adair County High School, which is located in one of the poorest counties in the state. But Adair County's band program has consistently been one of the best programs in the state, and is probably one of the biggest reasons why Bourbon County is so good, because they push each other to continue to improve. Regardless, that's the beauty of art. You don't need a huge amount of money in order to build something beautiful. You DO need a little bit, but with vision, creativity, and imagination, anything can be made into something beautiful.
Tim Ibershoff couldn't have said it better myself
Brady Wood I'm from Adair
Wow this band can't march in time they sound out of tune and there ballet is rip off of my senior year show back in 2010 we played it better ha they don't even have a drum major how pathetic they should of took another year off my ears are bleeding
Michael Mcgahee - This was their first season competing after a decade of being noncompetitive. Instead of being rude and tearing them down, you could try to find some good things about their performance and comment on them. Otherwise, I would recommend taking some advice from the movie Bambi and refraining from saying anything if you can't find something nice to say.
hymn of axiomoyo
don't see any videos of Williamstown on here, guess you didn't see them til finals this year. Glad Beechwood won , they deserved it.
sue perkins - I saw them at Bourbon County and then at Madison Southern, but did not see them again until finals. They tended to stick to the northern part of the state, whereas my brother and I tended to stick to the central part of the state.
Incredible performance! The fireworks in the background pushed it over the top!
