Lately I've been consuming contents in Japanese to enhance my fluency so sometimes I also struggle to find the words in English and in my mother language lol

I can relate this too... When you are bilingual, or trilingual in my case, sometimes you just forget that one right word in the other language while you remember the other one that you are not talking with that time.. And sometimes, some language has more correct definition words to say something than other languages... The struggle is real sometimes to find that right words... 😂😂😂😂😂

It's funny because most people will just not let any mistake like that slide because they're often monolingual, but knowing two languages is already a feat. Let the poor guy sort his bilingual thoughts 😂 (speaking as a Bilingual)

I totally understand. I’m Thai but studying in Taiwan. I use Thai to talk to Thai friends, English in class and Chinese for buying stuff with locals. My brain works very slow and sometimes I didn’t realize that speak wrong language 🤯

When I switch too much between English and my native language it gets like this too. But more often than that I default to my native language when I‘m extremely tired (like near asleep), sick or surprised. Like, no matter how fluent I am in English, when I accidentally touch something that’s hot, I will hiss it in my native language instead of „Hot!“.

Understandable. I just realized im in a country where we study 3 languages if youre in a region outside the capital. I can speak cebuano, tagalog, and english. I hve a lot of troubles coz im more proficient in the foreign language

I was born and raised in Japan. But at home we spoke arabic. Then we moved and school was all english. I have moments when my brain just shortcircuits while speaking 😂😂 or sometimes I just say a word with a different language's pronunciation

Damn man, I knew Japanese can be xenophobix as all hell, but that last lady really had no reason to lay into him like that. She straight up belittled him while smiling. "What are you, a kid? What's with that word you used? Can you even survive abroad?" Like, lady, damn, YOU are the one who wouldn't survive abroad. You'd struggle. At least the man is trying.
