Take it one day at a time. Turn that wish into a reality. All you need is a plan. This was somewhat unfamiliar to me (not painting and fabrication) but working on these trucks. You can do it.

@@fuzzybutkus8970 No worries. I didn't get it. I ended up bidding on a non runner the same week but they ran up the price as well (I was in Florida on vacation). I am just buying, fixing them up, and selling them (the right way). I have the 379 and W900 already so I'll be fine. But every now and then if a good enough deal comes around I will entertain. My goal is to rebuild trucks at a high level. No short cuts and no for a price that only the 1% can afford. Please continue watching and thank you for those 42 years.

@@1tuffzx10 Yessir. I have a shop that can do it for 16k out the door. However, they ran the truck up to $55k not including fees. Wasn't worth my time.

@@wilE6764 Yessir. I do. However, they ran the price up to $55k. Not worth it with the amount of work I would have to put into it. However, I was bidding on another truck but it had a shorter wheelbase and needed an inframe for sure. I'm not in a rush.

@@Truccdriva I'm going back and forth with the city. But I plan for the shop to be 120'x120'. Going through a few options right now. The existing shop is a 50'x60' with a 20'x60' lean to which I just closed in. Looking for 100+ acres as well (potentially a different location for the shop).

I was thinking about those colors as well. I am getting the windows tinted and was initially thinking about a darker color but given the fact I'm in Texas that is not a good idea.

Thanks for following. I'm just taking it one day at a time. We had some bad weather a few weeks ago so I'm getting a new roof at the house and another fence as well. I've ordered all the replacement panels (for the exterior regarding the Peterbuilt) and I'm sanding everything down to bare metal (aircraft stripper). Waiting on the electrician to install all EMT, wire, etc. Stay tuned.

I didn't get rid of the old one but I am sure it's a simple fix. I replaced mine because I had to wiggle the key in and out. The key would have eventually broke off inside. Send me a pick or two regarding those items (possible video). Did you plug up everything?

You need a 100ohm resister inside if it does not have it, it will not turn on

The white and black wire (key side) will need a 1 Watt 100 Ohm resistor. Solder the resistor along the key side and that should fix it. I have a video for it but I'm out of town and haven't posted it yet. I had a similar problem with someone's bike a few years ago.

@squarebodychevy6029 Check my part 2 video around the 10:20 mark. I installed the resistor. That will solve your F1 light and fuel pump issue. This bike was sitting up for almost 2 years with old gas. Let me know if you run into anymore issues.

She told me I can't buy anything else for two months LOL (I've been working two 9-5s for over a year now so I can build the shop I really want). I always wanted a 379 as well so now I have the best of both worlds. I have my guys pouring concrete in the existing shop next month.

Yeah. I had it out for a while but needed to re-install since I was going pull another truck. Now that I have a shop, I can take everything out to finish (interior).

Absolutely. Icebox. Even with 100+ degree weather over the past 8-10 weeks. I even changed out the heater box under the hood a few months ago. I've been looking for same land out in Texas to build an 8k sq/ft shop. Ready to take this truck to another level. New frame rails, suspension, paint, etc.

Does the box under the hood blow harder also

@@devinlewis3509 Yeah. Plus, the heater box was extremely rusty. I am glad I changed it out. However, the freeze switch was faulty from the supplier, so I ended up going to MHC for a new one.

Almost finished the inside. Looking for more land to build a shop. All custom builds. W9s, 379s, and 389s only.

There is a lot I would do differently. It's not that bad. I just have to install the carpet and sleeper (curtain).

It's not a go pro. It's a Nikon camera on a small tripod. With removing a mattress and other items I had to setup the camera in various locations. Just FYI. Thanks for commenting.

Dude, you have bunk doors. Why didn’t you chuck the mattress out the bunk door. It’s a lot easier. You worked way to hard on that for me to watch the whole video. Hope your project turns out good.

I have a new video coming out this week. I just removed all the panels in the sleeper. I have to replace the leaking heater core (under the bed). It is a process. I have a ton of parts for the cab of the truck that came in after reinstalling everything. One day at a time. I still work a full-time job so just trying to make time.

@@buildsdoneright I drive otr...Heavy Haul. I'm building the w9 to be our last truck. I have a channel as well, but I mostly focused on fitness and wellness philosophy. I keep my Harley behind the cab of the truck I drive now so I do some videos of where we go on it, but I plan to do videos on the truck restoration as well. I was a residential builder for years and restored campers as a hobby...the sleeper is a camper. I'm really enjoying the project.

Seats were not done to my liking, so I am replacing (mentioned in my video). The harness was not available when I took out the dash, but I will place all of the electronics and place on the dash (mentioned in my video as well if I didn't remove). I labeled it all (wiring). Fairly straightforward. I have 6 available spaces for them. I don't know what metals you are referencing. If you are talking about the bare aluminum floor, I definitely will not power coat. Let me know what items you suggest that I power coat and I will look into it. I am adding a lot of chrome in the front so a lot of the pieces that were painted with SEM (since they are plastic) will be replaced.
