He found me when going through my own personal rebuilding. Of my faith had lost the heart in my faith it was just going threw the motion not really feeling anything he was the first person to break the shell I had build around me to protect the inner child or innocents

Unless I missed it but why was the comment recommending the videos of the gospels that are word for word from bible taken down. Mr Burke, is there something about these videos that you don’t agree with? I truly would like to know.

As someone with some expertise, The Chosen’s, great contribution is it takes the time to give you the context: Pharisees , Sadducees, Zealots, Romans, life of the poor villagers, etc. The number one reason people don’t understand the Gospel is not understanding the situation and these relationships. As someone who almost always dislikes religious biblical programs , do yourself a favor and watch the Chosen or go to Grad school 🤷‍♂️

The Chosen and the Passion of the Christ are really worth watching . Puts good thoughts in your head and educates people about Christianity . We have enough CRAP out there to watch . Please watch good wholesome shows to help you be a more rounded person ! 👍❤✝🙏😊

A neighbor I don't know came to me she said there a guy at my house I ask do you know him she said no I believe I always now God was with me so I said let go to see what he wants There wasn't anyone there so I told her come to my house I gave her my Bible I said you don't have to read it just find a word and focus on that remind you I was a believer a believer that new God would do something for her before she left she said I feel better it was that little faith it 😂❤work's

Dear Dan, please help me to understand. You've maintained a standard of excellence. You have warned us of the enemy's tactics and which authors to avoid. You have taught us how to pray well. I'm afraid you're getting this one wrong. The "flaws" you mention are fatal flaws, some of them too painful to mention. Peter, the first pope, in his contempt, repeatedly calls John the Baptist, "Creepy John". At the very least, it's a diminishing of the papacy at a critical time. About the imagination as an aid to prayer. In Theology and Sanity, Frank Sheed does an excellent job articulating why this false Christ is so dangerous for Catholics. I'm still trying to reset in mental and contemplative prayer. And for all those whom it touches, what about the many more it misdirects with a false version of Our Lord, Jesus Christ? I highly recommend Leila Miller's Crisis rebuttal to the Austin Ruse article you've mentioned. God bless and protect you.

Thank you Dan. I believe what you say, God permits everything, and we can unite our will with His by recognising in the afflictions God's supremecy working for the good of thoes who love Him. Does this extend to abortion, violence and the numerous atrocities I know are occurring every second? I think it does, I think we can have faith that God is allowing these and we can pray in faith for the good God is working in them too. My friends ask "how do I know something is God's will or not". I say "It’s all God's permissive will, He can bring good out of everything, look at the cross" and I'm not saying God delights in abortion etc, no! But He has allowed it and He can draw good from it in ways I can't fathom... I'm not saying we shouldn't work to help women choose life, we should... my friends are still trying to work out what God wills as if they can accept what He wills and rail against everything else. Am I too simple to say God has willed to permit everything, and we must simply seek to love mercy, do justice and walk humbly trusting God to use everything even our faliures for good because we love Him?

Christians can watch The Chosen but they need to get Hod’s word from The Bible itself not a t.v. Show.

Everyone should watch, “The Chosen.” A mature Christian knows the text and shouldn’t be distracted by Hollywood, “license.” For others, it may be the door thru which they are set on the path to Christ.

I enjoy The Chosen because I recognize that it is just an interpretation of the Gospel, not the explicit Gospel. I appreciate the interpretation because it gives me a perspective on Christ that I hadn't considered much (mostly due to _other_ media generated impressions of Christ). In most other human renderings of Christ, we see a sullen, serious, sad depiction of Christ. He seems "disappointed" in people all the time. In The Chosen, they have opted portray Christ as happy, silly at times, humorous, engaging and filled with joy and contentment. Yet, there are times He is serious, sad, disappointed, disheartened too - it's just not His only portrayal. So to that end, The Chosen reflects a side of Christ that rest of media (movies, TV, etc.) had masked. Not saying that The Chosen is completely accurate on their portrayal, just that it is markedly different than the prevailing cultural understand I developed growing up as a Christian, attending Church, seeing Christ portrayed by others in the media around me. I now anticipate that Christ will be filled with joy, happy to see me when I die, and He may even joke around with me... I like that thought.

I get the whole artistic license thing but is this the real/Biblical Jesus? or a warm & fuzzy version of who we want Jesus to be?

Prayer is chatting to God. Prayer is deliverance . Prayer is what do I want God. Prayer is spiritual warfare. Prayer is releasing blessings. Prayer is something we do everyday even with other people . Bless yas.

Love the encouragement to cease whining and cooperate with God - that's a high calling for us as laity to join with Him, Who we love above all things. I would have to admit that when I'm whining, I'm not listening to what He wants/wills and certainly cannot cooperate. Thank you for this reminder!
