Police do not need so many expensive SUV's keep them in Sedans. They are there to work and funded by tax-payers there are Police departments that used Toyota Camries and saved tax payers a ton of money keeping taxes down. Adding all these expensive SUV's raises taxes. I do not know about you all, but I am already taxed to death. Police do not need 80k SUV;s or more after they are outfitted for Police use. Arkadelphia Police use Camries they work fine and cost half as much as Exploder SUV's and have better reliability and last longer.

My department got a batch of hybrids and they actually are better then the regular ones for everyday work HOWEVER! The hybrids are always in and out of the shop with very low mileage and I have never driven one without any warning lights on the dash. That being said the naturally aspirated ones aren’t much better. We are retiring them at 110,000 miles where I have seen fifth gen sedans and suvs at 250,000 miles

Our local police like them... great on gas when idle time... but hwy mileage terrible 30 years ago v 6 engines were getting 30 mph. My 1999 3.8 chev lumina poluce edition got 31 mpg

These cruisers suck…badly. Had a brand new one and the thing was in the shop every month. They are not reliable at all. Miss the Crown Vic. This is pure crap

I’ve been in a PIU for about 6 years now. WAY better than the Crown Vic or Charger for municipal use. Pretty fast, handles and breaks damn good. Mine has been reliable, then again I have a take home and not a pool car.

Better than an ev charged from solar cells due to the toxicity of ev and solar cell production, and the lack of recycling. Renewable diesel will become even better for the planet when combined with the molten salt reactor.
