    46:17 Italian here, you guys have no idea how massive the first Epic Mickey's marketing was, the graphic novel adaptation were drawn by two of the best artists in the country, Paolo Mottura and Fabio Celoni, and one of the biggest comic book/magazines of the country, Topolino had an entire issue dedicated to it.

    Oh, and you should definitely give Shrek 4 another go. I think it has every right to be appreciated with the rest of the Shrek franchise. The Lore and character exploration are fantastic, and a good unexpected direction when those elements weren’t covered in the first movie. And yes Shrek 2 was fantastic but comparing it to a movie that was clearly trying to build back up the franchise and maybe close it out properly just doesn’t feel right to me. Shrek 4 is a great movie, and I stand by this statement. (Also with a Shrek 5 coming out, I know for a fact people will begin making videos on how Shrek 4 is actually good and y’all are missing out.) The magic of Shrek 4 is that I didn’t think I needed a fourth one, but then everything they introduced was actually really relevant to the story and the characters we’ve been alongside this whole time. Also Rumplestiltskin as the villain is a fantastic depiction of the fairytale character.

      I know a lot of people like and defend Shrek 4, but I just don't like that movie. I don't like it for the same reason I don't like Shrek 3: it contradicts the themes and messages of the first two films. In the first two movies, the whole point is that Shrek doesn't have to be who society and the existing power structures say he is. But in Shrek 4, that message is completely reversed. Now Shrek has to be exactly who society tells him to be, or else everything will be destroyed. That message just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and the rest of the movie isn't enjoyable enough to me to make up for it. I just don't like that movie. 🤷‍♂️

    Frozen is such an emotionally mature film presented from the perspective of Anna, who develops maturity rapidly through the events of the story. Frozen is simultaneously a story that can be enjoyed by older and younger siblings for completely different reasons. Obviously as an older sister I completely understand Elsa’s choices and find Anna childish. While I bet my little sister sees Anna’s choices as understandable and finds Elsa uptight. I love this movie and I’m so grateful someone sees this movie for the intelligent writing that made it the international superstar it is.

    Ugh, I would love to play this game again.. sadly I don't have a Wii anymore, so why not bringing it to the newer consoles and PC? I have seen Epic Micky 2 on Steam what made me happy, but they have lost out the first one. Have to agree with you with the camera movement and consequences part sadly. But with what I cannot agree with is for me it had some style, that the characters didn't speak. Don't know how to explain that.. it fitted well for me with the style of the game/world. I mean it is nice to have and fits well in the second game! They should give it an option to put the synchro on and off :D Aaand I totally love, that the kept doing the 2D cutscenes. Such a nice charme. It was also really fitting and nice, you could play Epic Mickey 2 with someone together. Sadly Epic Mickey 2 had some bugs and same camera issues I find at least, but played the PC Version so not sure anymore with the Wii. But you say it still was a problem so I guess.. yeah.. meh D: It was okay. Just had one bug where I couldn't finish the world and got stuck real hard :( I could fix it through reinstalling the game. or did I play all again? No.. I guess not. AND YES, Oswald was kinda annoying staying in the way or didn't do what he was supposed to do xD c_c Hearing they had to rush it, makes it really sad.. but still, I love the Universe and the games. Also seeing the Ideas from the epic series that didn't got real is kind off sad.. T_T Epic Donald? I totally would have been in for that. The DS Game looks so good. Never played it, but have seen a Let's Play from it and liked it. Aaargh! I want to play it now.. but wait.. Epic Mickey Rebrushed?? If that happens I am more than happy :D please for PC too. Ahh, that is so nice! Amazing and informative Video! :) Like to see people still talk about this game.

    Oddly, Kingdom Hearts did delve into "forgotten disney worlds", but extremely surface level and was on stuff that most people would be aware of. It is weird that Oswald has not appeared in a Kingdom Hearts game. Maybe Kingdom Hearts IV being in an alternate reality is the perfect excuse to finally have Oswald in the Kingdom Hearts series. Well, at least we knew Rebrushed will have Oswald.

      @ExtraordinaryPeoples 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The only reason you would have to restart would be if you just wanted to use paint for everything, or if you wanted a pin you can only get by using paint. The actual game doesn't change at all regardless of how you defeat the bosses, so this doesn't really make sense to me.

      we must have had a bug in our game then because if we didn’t stick to our path then it wouldn’t trigger the next area opening once the boss was defeated in EM2. Say we thinned the area boss instead of painting him, a door wouldn’t open and we’d be stuck in the level and would have to restart the entire game

    I'm really hoping that the Switch version of Rebrushed has pseudo pointer controls in much the same way many Wii ports have done. I also think it'd be a good time to address the issues the game had, like improving the camera, adding voice acting ect. I'm not really expecting those things, but eh. BTW, if I recall correctly, I think that Power of Illusion was made by the studio that made games like Monster Tale on the DS, the controls certainly feel like it anyways.

    To be fair, the village parents would have an idea what happened to Emily, Thackeray sent his friend to get the elders. When they arrived they would have found Emily dead and have an immediate right to hang them. Like mentioned in your history part, there (most likely) would have been a trial - but Emily’s death and missing Thackeray gave them the “right” to hang them.

    I am glad that this video got recommended to me. I got into Epic Mickey around 10 years ago, which was like a couple years after the last games in the franchise. As someone who just got started looking into Disney history at the time because I've been a Disney fan my entire life, the premise of the game exploring forgotten and unused aspects of the Disney brand had 7 year old me hooked, despite not playing any of the games. Throughout the years since then, I've looked into the game's story, and I started to appreciate it even more, showing me that Mickey actually has flaws and wasn't always this picture perfect role model that younger kids idolize. Around February of this year (or 2024 for those who might see this comment in the future), I was feeling sick, and I couldn't go to school due to my condition. The day after that, I was getting breakfast and decided to check out the Mini Direct out of curiosity. I still was feeling a bit iffy, but it wasn't as bad as the day before. When I saw the announcement of an Epic Mickey remake coming for all platforms, I felt really excited. I felt so good, that the excitement actually motivated me to return to school. And, I was really happy for the rest of the day. I'm glad Disney decided to approve of a remake for this game, considering it did not only reinvent the mouse, but also a celebration and a bit of an influence for Disney animation and parks. I'd like to say I've enjoyed this video very much. There was a good amount of effort put into it. And like it was mentioned, I was one of the many people who was impacted by the series. Thank you for making this. I can't wait to enjoy the remake, and I hope you do too.

      I mean, he's literally just a monarch/dictator, but the specific way he manipulates his subjects and how they see him is very analogous to capitalism. • @ExtraordinaryPeoples
      @ExtraordinaryPeoples 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I mean, I didn't "add that note." That makes it sound like an afterthought or a result of poor planning, which it was not at all. The three times I did it, it was integral to the structure of the story. I had to mention things and then discuss them later. It wouldn't have made sense to do it any other way. I don't think it's a problem at all.
