1998 Durango 5.2 V8. Just had my local trusted mechanic replace my heater core for $638 part and labor and tax.He did a perfect job.
I enjoyed watching this...fun times. My '88 dodge W100 has a NP435 and I have yet to see anything I couldn't pull behind her. That granny low means everything when you need it. I am about to install a Ford version 435 in my '74 Jeep CJ5.
Looks so much like the sea of Cortez, that’s crazy
The grainy thumbnail makes it look like we’re about to watch some POS truck posing as a prerunner…. Somehow the surprise of how legit this truck is vs the thumbnail made the video better.
Well done. I'll be honest, when I saw the thumbnail I didn't think it would be legit. It IS LEGIT. Good build and great job!
I put a lot of hard work into this truck, it took a lot of time and sweat!
That’s badass
sick , congrats. what can you say about not having a rear sway bar and having the coils that far from the axle? trying to do the same.
@Leroy_Outside i am planning on putting a rear sway bar. The coils that far up just give u more travel and handle great in the whoops, just make sure u use 250 dom pipe or greater and reinforcement on the trailing arms.
I built the trailing arms out of .250 Dom 1/4" and 3/16" plate and 1.75 heims.
@@larrygeddes4388 awesome thank you . any tips on how to afford the coilovers should i get foa coils? thats the main thing holding me back.
@Leroy_Outside the front shocks are 2.5" 14 inch bypass and 14" coilover BilStein race series, that i bought on offer up from a guy who had a trophy truck and was upgrading. I got a great deal of 1800$. The back is Fox race series 2.5" x 16" bypass and coilover , that I got new For 5800$ . On my opinion of the FOA coilover is that I did review research and decided to go with Fox and BilStein, but the price is tempting . If u go that route let me know thoughts on them.
My 86 f250 with f450 leafs on the rear and twin I beam with worn out shocks, forget seeing my truck hit the dunes
@Michealbj that would be a rough ride . I was leafs on all 4 and it would break my back.lol
what a sleeper build that's awesome. I love my '84 150 manual with a Windsor. this is really killer. I love it
@gregoryfranks7347 thanks , the wife and I worked on it really hard. The truck handles very well through the whoops and ruff terrain.
h
this thin is seriously well done. as a welder i got to say something on the weld quality but you got a complete pre runner and i dont haha.
@codyparker679 some of the wells look good and others look like I'm blind L.O.L. i'm pretty confident they will hold though
Nice lights 🙌 looking slick
I got a 86 myself im doing a old school build on,rollbar with KC lights, pushbar, going to put some tires just like yours but with some sawblade wheels,I got turbines to but im putting some boggers on them, plus im building a 289 with a aod tranny to put in my truck
Seems like it’s running on 5 cylinders
the '83, '84 and some '85s Ventures have a second gear issue also, do you know if it the same?
@@raynic1173 I could not be sure if it is the same.I would assume not. Because of the age difference in the motors
Another suggestion, after welding check the entire gear for possible pitting caused by ground contact arcing...and welding splatter...address as necessary...
💩🇵🇭 Toy
My dream build: NP435 and gear splitter! Idk if that is even possible but it seems like a good robust option low end torque and overdrive ability! Awesome video
It’s 64 miles from Davis to hover dam, not 46…you do realize you have mile markers…
Is that close to june?
@@Jrom87?? I do not understand your question.
If you are asking the location, lake mead is near las vegas
If the heater core goes out just sell the ficking truck, that's what I'm realizing haha
Looks good ! Glad we met the other day out in poway ! Good seeing the progress your making!
@@ColonyLowcut thnks . Still got a long way to go
Where are you located?

that friggin music has got to go man
That's what I hear In My Head daily.I thought I would share it with you favorite movie
@@larrygeddes4388 lord help ya man lol
what music?? You ok? lol jk
Do you have a email or something I can reach you at I think my timing chain guide broke inside as well having a P000B
What is your question?
I’m having a P000B no p0016 and car runs fine Eco mode don’t engage no misfire codes , changed all sensors and VVT solenoid no change it’s a 2012 dodge charger do you think I should park it and change the timing chain and oil pump I can hear what sounds like rattling sometimes at low rpm’s thinking it’s the chain
@orelaxyt7118 Well the time in chain tends to be a problem on the five point seven hemi. The sad thing is you can't tell unless you pull the Timing chain cover and that's a lot of work. But it sounds like you have the same issues.Leading up to my timing chain breaking
nice. gotta love a bullnose.
Need to slow down your camera movement. It is difficult to watch.
same issue as fjr1300
Thanks, a guy has a cheap Simmons on ebay, so Im curious
Well, if you purchase the Simmons, you just need to spend a little bit more money onunderstand get a really good quality stand. The clarity on the sermons is not that great but if you're doing 5,6 hundred yards you'll befine
Mine did the same things worm threw the guide just like yours luckily my chain didn’t snap the lifter went first 196k on the engine and the cam and lifter went cylinder 5 but it did snap the bolt on guide and the bolt was floating around in the timing cover
Yeah, that's sucked about that truck! We no longer have that truck. My wife ended up getting a new Ford. F 150 2023.
Who busted your teef out?
The reason why the 2nd gear dove tails wear out is because of the shifting canister design defect. The shifting canister groove for 2nd gear fork doesn't push the 2nd gear dove tail far enough inside the female part of the other gear, so its always at the edge, and slips and wears out over time. I think that what you did by welding the dove tails is a good idea, especially if you make them a little longer so that they can fully engage more.
Another good way to check the valve seating is to stand the head on the side and fill the intake and exhaust ports one side at a time with lite oil and if it doesn't seep past the valves, the seating is good
😂
The lift omg looks horrible wtf a blind weld this with gum? Cam haha sounds more like the choke is on
Nice
RTV bad work
One word of warning if you change this there’s all kinds of things that can go wrong with the cable screwed up you can set airbags off and you can forget to put something back together really easily there’s a whole bunch of things that you’re doing including releasing all those negative grounds and stuff around the fuse box and what not and you have to be sure and put all that back in place because if you forget any of it you have to tear back into it and take it back apart Again ! . Do you self a favor when you go to the boneyard get yourself to four inside white stationary nuts they’re made of plastic there to hold the dash and be sure and grab you some at the boneyard while you can get them because you’re gonna need them
Dodgers just fucking the customers before they bring the vehicle’s home that’s all they think their customers is my fucking you before you ever buy it there are five Torx head screws that are on the firewall the engine compartment side that have to be in Don before this unit can you come out and these are hiding underneath hoses in different things on the engine compartment side you have to find these most of them are on the passenger side all five are on the engine compartment side of the firewall and that’s the reason he can’t get that out right now it’s just four hours he’s missing one Torx head screws
I got the same ride. Thank you for the video.
I like your truck. Looks good.
Little late to the party but this makes me super hopeful for crawling with my np435/bw1356 and 4.88 gears in a 3000lb buggy on 37” tires.
Sounds nice and smooth.
That sux! The work needed! 😢
😂
How many days it took
It is a one day job
🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
รถสวยครับ👍
😊
What did this end up costing you in the end? Good work
Valves, left head, cam, rings ,springs, and bearings ect..... about $1800-1900$. And alot of our time, but she runs like new!
@@larrygeddes4388 thanks, I have a 2011 jeep grand cherokee that timing chain let go in (previous owner) debating what you did vs a used running engine
