It hasn't been a problem with me, the hum is not that bad, but I am used to single coils. I like the clarity they provide. With the Godin Stadium, I really like the bridge pickup.

Thanks Rich, I owned a Session at one time and you are correct that model did not come with a gig bag. The music store I bought it from provided a case for a little over $100. Thanks for the update!

@@rguidryrd : I used to own a black Session and it DID come with a (very nice) gigbag.... if I look in shops now, it doesn't come with one. So it's changed apparently.

@@rguidryrd Still have another question... if you are a guitar player... is it easy to deprogram yourself to adjust with the new chord grid...?

@@MrJassynat It takes a little bit of doing, as it is a new instrument. However, the uke is tuned the same as the guitar at the fifth fret (G-C-E-A). Some of the chord shapes are similar as well. Hope this helps.

I actually like the brown finish better, but I wanted a rosewood fingerboard so I went with the white. Hope you like it!

I would wait a day or two and if the overspray on the inlays still bothers you, then return it and exchange it for another. Hope this helps.

When I was buying mine, I actually liked the neck inlays and back engravings on the turquoise version a little better, but I liked the sapphire blue color better. I ended up getting the sapphire blue version because it was the only one available at the time. In the end, this worked out for me because the color looks really nice, and I do like the inlays and back engraving as well.

The strings all seem equally balanced with the same individual output volume to me.

I'm very happy with mine as well. Plays like butter is a good description... My favorite of my three ukuleles!

I tried a Les Paul uke in a store and didn't like it either.

It is a little expensive, probably because of the build quality and electronics.

I noticed that too. It may have something to do with the Ukulele being tuned the same as a guitar with a capo at the fifth fret.

It looks like the biggest differences are the Montecito Uke is constructed of Koa, while the Dhani Harrison Uke is constructed of Ovangkol. Also, it doesn't look like the Montecito has a pickup system. Let me know how you like the Turquoise version when you receive it!
