The difference between a siratone chime & an ultravoice one is that a siratone is a dual tone chime & the ultravoice is a single tone chime. I wish they would have used this chime in single tone on an ultravoice & the MCs.

Thank you for making this video! I just got my hands on a Shelburne whose movement has a slight quirk in the third quarter chimes. Based on the irregularities I'm hearing, and comparing it with what I see/hear in this video, I now have an idea of where to start looking in order to figure out what's going on.

That unique chime pattern is basically the cheap way of making the strike chord for the hour strike. That way it makes a 3 strike chord without having to get techy. So, it makes the high, mid, and low notes for the hour strike chord without having to get techy.

Your clock is a later version of the Cordova about 1906. The earlier versions from about 1897 to 1905 had the ornaments. Seth Thomas stopped putting the ornaments on the later models. Beautiful clock you have.

Hi...this is a great video and very much appreciated. My wife just purchased this (well, ours is called the Hermle Castle Skeleton Clock, but it looks the same as your clock in this video) as a Christmas gift for herself. She is 87 and so I have been assigned the job of putting the clock up on our living room wall. Everything seems fine except one thing. The pendulum stopped moving after running for a short while ("short" = maybe 2 minutes). The clock seems to be level. It was off a bit at first, but I have adjusted it and made sure it is level now. What could the problem be? I admit to knowing next about this clock, other than it sure looks good a)nd sounds great too when it is running). What can I do to fix it?>

Hey Danny, I got a question: Where do you buy your clocks (mechanical pendulum/mantle to be exact) in the USA? My parents are going to United States soon and they want me to gift me a pendulum clock, since is easier and cheaper to buy clocks than in my home country Costa Rica (it's a 3rd world country after all go figure) and I always wanted an old fashioned Junghans clock. There's a problem tho, They don't know where to search in USA to hunt one for me (neither do I) and since you're more experienced in this Niche, I wanted to ask for your wisdom.
