I have seen reviews on Lehigh Acres, and they are mostly negative. Is Lehigh Acres that bad?
I am curious to know the same thing. I have seen a mix of good and bad but I feel that can be anywhere. I lived in Jacksonville which statistically has a horrible crime rate but I saw some excellent places there. I was there for many years with little issue. I would love to relocate back to Florida and this is for sure one of the areas I am looking at.

@@illuforce I would like to be in an area that is family friendly. Where the neighbors actually speak to one another and act civil. The homes I have looked at are very nice in some areas but then sketchy in others. That part of it reminds me a lot of Jacksonville. All in all my experience with that level of things was mostly positive. The people I met while I was at Lehigh the last time were great. This was back in November. I guess I am mainly curious on how things are on the basic community lifestyle.
@@Glaormb1 Most people are quite nice but people tend to to throw trash everywhere and people tend to make a lot of noise so there is a who gives a fuck mentality. When it comes to family friendly Lehigh acres doesn't really have good schools and school bus stops have a quite high death rate compared to other places(sketchy bus stops that are in bad places is the main problem here)but there is quite a lot of schools to choose from which is good but we have quite low reading scores and math scores. If you like dirtbikes,ATVs, etc then you won't find really any good trails with most trails just being there because of maintenance. Lazy springs is the only place really when it comes to off road activities as many other places closed down.The parks are good but there are people who will sell drugs to kids.

@@brewckle yes if you’re driving from Lehigh to Miami, but Lehigh to Ft Myers is 30/40 mins away depending on traffick..😱

Its okay if your retired or already have a financial set up. There arent many good jobs,public transport#ation isnt good. No big malls or anchor department stores. Walmart is the most popular shopping destination. Still pockets of empty lots of missing homes. Yet for sime reason rent is getting higher and higher! Its one of those south florida manufactured towns. No history, no cultural or community feel. Most people are not from Florida and loves to renind you any chance they get. Very transient town. People xome and go due to not being able to afford the rising cost of living and no good jobs. Recent cinstruction will excite you until you find out its just another dollar store, auto zone or storage facility. Crime is spread out. The idea is its mostly around westminister "the duplexes" but thats a myth. The good thing about it is crime is random or rapid. Its mostly people who either went to high school here and all turned to a sketchy life and know eacthother or a spill over of gangs from ft myers who try to either stay low key in lehigh but their beef from ft myers follows them, or ft myers drug dealers set up shop in lehigh and simply gets whst comes with the game. So if you stay to yourself and just raise your family you rearly if ever get caught up in the nonesense.

Theres one small neighborhood of duplexes in zip code 33973 that has 99% of the crime the rest of Lehigh is fine. Lehigh is huge and full of good neighborhoods.
