Could The First Order Invaded the Warhammer 40k Galaxy?
My Discord server-discord.gg/DSwdqVZbr6
The First Order thinks they're hard. They've got fancy Star Destroyers, an army of stormtroopers who couldn't hit the broad side of a Warlord Titan, and a Supreme Leader who looks like a melted candle. But what happens when they try to invade the Warhammer 40K galaxy?
Oh, they’re in for a rude awakening. The Imperium of Man doesn’t negotiate-they exterminate. Space Marines, Chaos Daemons, Orks, and the bloody Warp itself all stand in their way. Can the First Order survive in the grimmest, darkest, most brutal sci-fi universe ever created?
Spoiler alert: Not a fucking chance.
Let me know in the comments what other ridiculous matchups you want to see!

    I think if it was just a single faction, the First Order would have a better shot than you suggest because of the mass amounts of ships at their disposal. Kylo ren could possibly beat a Librarian. Remember a potent force user can move entire ships around which weighs hundreds of tons and may have the speed to out run the psychic storm. I think in melee combat Kylo would beat a Librarian. In space battles the first order would have the advantage whereas on the ground or boarding attacks the Imperium would have a much stronger advantage. Because however, space battles would be far more important, I honestly think the first order would win. Another thing you don't consider is logistics, a massive advantage in warfare. The first order seems to be able to travel much faster, easier, and with far less risk than the imperium can. This means they can maneuver their forces far more effectively, so even if individual imperium ships were more powerful (which is debatable), the first order could just beat them in terms of being able to secure more forces to different locations more quickly. Logistics has been proven time and again to be the most powerful aspect of an army. Think of Genghis Khan. The reason his army was so successful is they didn't have to worry much about supplies because his army was full of nomads who were fully capable of finding their own food. Its not just about who has the bigger gun or the larger army, its about supplies, coordination, maneuverability, something that is a real weakness for the imperium. If it were just limited to a single faction, I think the First Order would beat almost anybody in the 40k universe just because travel is so easy and so much faster in that universe and because in a real futuristic war, space combat would be far, far more consequential than ground combat for determining the outcome of a war.

    Tech and firepower wise.. I'm not so sure the raw push power the imperium has is enough to counter the sheer amount of attitude the Resurgence brings to the table by itself. I'm a bit of a ship nut. So forgive me. But normally, I'd lean heavily towards Imperium brawn over SW tech. But not so much with First Order ships. ( I'm not going to discuss the ground. I'll leave that to a new age fan) Also, for context, the Xyston class star destroyer was said to be more powerful than a resurgence. But due to the shield nullifying effects of the planet, we don't get to see what kind of punishment they can withstand in a brawl. (Obviously, there's a huge flaw with this ship. But the strength of its shields is meant to mitigate that. Hence, the rush to destroy the ships before they could leave orbit. Often, being suggested that they might not be able to stop them outside of the system) And while other ships of that era also have major flaws, when you pair them with a fleet as they're meant to be, they're much more dangerous. (Ngl, the F.O. heavily rely on the resurgence class above all else to hold balance in their fleets. But once you look at its specs, it makes a lot of sense.) So, when it comes to space battles, i don't see battles of attrition working vs. the superior tech and capacities of the F.O. When it comes to the ground and troop on troop action.. I'll say this shortly. Yes. Blasters will kill Guardsman and Astartes alike. But i don't see the F.O. matching the ferocity of the imperium in foot campaigns. Let alone the numbers. Ground and soldier campaigns. Inperium. Ship to ship. F.O. Ship to ship with lots of boarding actions. Imperium. Though, tbh, if a resurgence class is nearby, i don't see much boarding going on.

    • @KalousTheGuy
      @KalousTheGuy 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      But to skim through the groups quickly. F.O. vs Orcs. Orcs in all ground campaigns. Hands dowm F.O. in the space. (This will be a trend) Tau vs. F.O. is the same as the orcs imo. Eldar, oh.. eldar. Just eldar. That's all. Same with Necrons. Those two just end the discussion entirely. Regardless of F.O. tech.

Meanwhile Sith Lords/Jedi, while very powerful compared to the Common man or alien, can be seen getting fumbled by stuff like a droid, which wouldn’t happen to a Primarch. We have some examples of very powerful force users in the SW universe, such as Star killer, but they are very rare and you can rate their power only by the scale of Force, which can’t be realistically compared to anything the warp can offer in my opinion, because both of these ideas are to abstract and absurd, I can only compare the physical aspects, where Primarchs very much win

The warhammer 40k universe is shaped by millenia of galatic war on catastrofic scales. The star wars galaxy is fairly cosy humanoid centric; and big weapons are "unbelievable", let alone genetically modifying your troops ... only Sidious contemplated this and found it too costly and horrible .

Gets destroyed by then thousand random ships from across the galaxy, none being actually military ships and survives about a decade. Imperium of Man: ADORABLE The Imperium would stomp the first order not only through their experience but their ships are more powerful (as the First Order planet destroying weapons are powerful, but not very good if being attacked by fast moving ships), their soldier go through harsher training and more experienced (Guardsman actually hit their targets), and their leader even in a semi-comotosed state still takes an active role. @@killerstudio3193@ killerstudio3193 Thanks, also in this video, you're babying the First Order. Usually, when Imperials see fleets like theirs - The Mechanicum and their world resahping and destroying fleets are called in the strip them of all tech, and space marine steralisers reduce them to dust. Also, hyperspace travel actually has limitations, as the more effective routes we see are only beacue these lanes have been mapped out and checked over thousands of years, the Warhammer 40k galaxy has none - in fact, many pilots in the Star Wars galaxy are warned not to do this, as they could be sent directly into a sun coming out or smash into planets going light speed because they came out 10ft from the surface. So actually, they couldn't use hyperspace technology as effectively in 40k, actually Warp travel would be better as although it'd be the same in reliability, actually they can see where their going to drop out of thanks to Astropaths so they don't need routes and also they could appear a few seconds or minutes before going in. There's factors many people don't think about.

      @Velanteg 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@williamdavies1373 This trouble was present in past. Modern navigation computers preventing accidents even when not using hyperlanes. Even without hyperlanes hyper is still thousands times faster and safer than warp. Also safe route can be easily explored with probes. Warp travel is dangerous and always probability ship will be lost in warp. Also warp travel cannot be done close to planets, its extremely dangerous and WH ships wasting weeks to move to system border for jump and back. Even without hyperlanes it will take only 10 days for ISD to cross entire Milky Way. For WH ships its less than 50% probability to survive this jorney and it takes few years.

    • @williamdavies1373
      @williamdavies1373 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ Actually, it takes 10 days to cross halfway across the Star Wars Galaxy using known hyperspace lanes. Secondly, Warp travel is indeed more dangerous, but it really depends on the stability of the region and how close the Astronomicon is. Believe it or not, stories of ships getting lost in the Warp or popping out 100 years after going in only happen 10% of the time, and that's usually the cause of sabotage, poor navigation, warp storms, or not using the Astronomicon. Because there are so many ships in the 40k galaxy, that's why there are so many stories. So, most of time the Warp Jump will spit you out only a few seconds or minutes after entering, actually its a little faster - the problem is more can go wrong in the situation, but as long a you follow the rules its safe-ish. A trip from one side of the galaxy to the other, following all the precautions, could be just a few minutes.

Trip cross galaxy using warp requires hundreds of jumps. Even if one randomly will be instant - it changes nothing. And dont forget fuel and other supplies which must be refilled in way. The thing is, the Star Wars galaxy has several points you overlooked. 1. There is a physical barrier surrounding the galaxy. This makes it near impossible to get in or out of it. 2. The Tyrandis would be a MASSIVE disturbance in the force. Every Jedi, Sith, and everything in between would notice them WAY before they entered the galaxy. Meaning preparations against them would begin way before the first engagement. 3. Star Wars space technology is FAR more advanced than Warhammer. Sensors, FTL, and just plain infrastructure is on a scale that dwarfs 40K. Most races aside from the Tau can't even reproduce a lot of their own technology. Once it's gone, it's gone for good. Even repairs in 40K are a pain in the @$$. Meanwhile in Star Wars they could easily track a Tyranid fleet and pick it apart with hit and run tactics. Tyranids are very vulnerable when traveling between star systems because there is no biomass to replenish their numbers. 4. There are creature in the Star Wars Galaxy floating in space that can eliminate a whole hive fleet. A Summa-verminoth would pop those ships like Mc nuggets. 5. The Star Wars galaxy did defeat the Yuuzhan Vong. An extra galactic species that uses adaptive organic technology. 6. Abeloth is a thing. 7. There are things in the Unknow Regions that make the Chaos gods look like Smurfs.

    It would depend alot of the metas of Dark Souls scaling but often I hear star scaling can be a good candidate with the First Flame. With how the Dark Souls universe operates the Chosen Undead or any other Dark Souls protagonist would quite a anomaly to the Warhammer 40k setting as he is completely distinct from it's systems and would have no Warp signature nor does he have anything relative to the C'Tan. A outside context problem you could say. That is what many would view Dark Souls characters. If the Warhammer 40k galaxy was lake the Chosen Undead would be like a walking giant bolder moving in the lake while the fish and local plant life are having problems trying to break it down. I wonder how a Culture Mind would try to fix the Warhammer 40k galaxy while operating from the Culture's Version of Hyperspace and having no connection to the Warp so the Warp cannot corrupt it like it could do to Men of Iron. But then again some Men of Iron manage to avoid or resist Warp code nonsense and even outsmart other chaotic Men of Iron.

    I would say the Expanded Universe canon of the galaxy would have the best amount of resources, technological development, and tech tree capacity, and manpower to defeat and neutralize Hive Tendrils equal to that of Behemoth, Kraken, Tiamat, Hydra, Moloch, and Leviathan after a time frame of 500 years in the time of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Order and the New Republic. A Tyranid force of this size would be a problem for centuries but as technological and military developments and economic industrial investments are made, more powerful droids could be put into the field and medical sciences becoming more advance to keep up with the Tyranids biological reactionary adaptions and the infiltration methods used, the Tyranids in this scenario will begin to lose momentum and slow down. Though I wouldn't be surprised if quadrillions are left dead and Hive splinter fleets keep appearing over the decades attack a few systems in a sector here and there. The Tyranid force may also devour some of the wildlife that in the Expanded Universe travel in Hyperspace and gain their abilities. But whether or not traveling through a different FTL dimension would affect their Hivemind cohesion and telepathic link when they go through I do not know. If so the Tyranids will have a logistical problem trying to reconnect their telepathic links but if not they have much more room and time to travel around the Hyperspace routes that Navigation computers usually take. Some of the giant war droids in the Expanded Universe that Palpatine was developing in the Dark Empire comics would be pretty strong to use against the Tyranids on the ground. The EU Mandalorians funding newer weapons made out of Beskar would be great to use against Tyranids. It normally takes multiple generations for a Genestealer cult to set up shop and gain momentum however I don't think they will be very effective after the decades pass and the public and governments become more aware of the Tyranids ability to infiltrate the population and change their genetics. This would eventaully lead into medical facilities, agencies, and research stations being built in studying Tyranid biology and the weaker strains and probably research in creating a potential cure being developed for the Genestealer strain as one was was made for Dark side Rakghoul plauges during the Old Republic. This would make the Genestealer strategy the Tyranids use to become increasingly outdated and eventually negated. The size of the Star Wars galaxy and it's demographic size as depicted in the Expanded Universe potentially being a 100 Quadrillion spread among millions of planets this would be a very big problem a Tyranid force of this size to conquer especially since it's more organized and stable then the Imperium of Man and when put under pressure they can advance real quickly after a couple decades. I see the Tyranids living and being a big swarm problem but give or take in a millennia they would pretty much assimilate into the Star Wars galaxy making it a bit more dangerous to travel through but they won't be able to take it completely. I imagine them taking a a few thousand obscure systems and corners of star clusters to inhabi but once their full hivefleet might is withered down there won't be much for them to do to make any major logistical advancement especially if the New Republic is able to track them down and contain them. It would be like the Prethoryn Scourge's situation in Stellaris is like once the End-Game Empire advance enough and they lose the bulk of their forces over time and are contained.

    There's an online forum that pretty much explains why the Chaos gods are so powerful but also irredeemably evil: The Chaos Gods are more than just Gods; they are spiritual entities, being swirling masses of various collective emotions, ideas, thoughts, worship, anomalies, and abstract embodiments. Each is a gestalt consciousness formed from various abstract ideas, thoughts, stories, and feelings. They are directly linked to all beings in the Materium both in higher and lower-dimensions being the physical representations of the Materiums conscious and sub-consious mind across all space and time happening simultaneously. Nurgle-He is all that is related to 'Stasis' and the 'Natural Order,' which is why concepts like Life, Death, Decay, Rebirth, Order, Rot, Health, Will, Nature, Eternity, Origin, Natural, Cycles, Beginnings, Endings, Despair, Unity, Night, Day, Similarity, Transition, Memories, Un-changing, Numbness, Fear, Destruction, Creation, Acceptance, Nurture, Assimilation, Elements, Constant, Equality, Generosity, Broken, Shapelessness, Is, Balance, Fear, Succession, Peace, Light, Darkness, Immortality, Revitalisation, Totality, Connection, Durability, Source, Repeat, Physical Corruption, Deteriation, Family, Disease, Bonds and Serenity. Khorne - Is all related to 'Action' and 'Journeys.' Often associated with War, Combat, Focus, Weapons, Termination, Conflict, Wrath, Development, Regression, Animosity, Vengeance, Offense, Defense, Protection, Truth, Push, Pull, Doom, Past, Murder, Duty, Punishment, Pre-Modern, Domination, Then, Discipline, Blood, Rage, Hot, Courage, Hate, Guilt, Honour, Martial Prowess, Subjugation, Cold, Monitor, Imprisonment, Above, Below, Oversee, Justice, Law, Rules, Judgement, Mercy, Would, Strength, Tyranny, Innocence, Suffering, Growth, Positive, Negative, Improvement and Superior. Considered the most violent, it's linked with Endings, Revolution, Oblivion, Void, Paratism, Was, Will, Is Not, Corruption, Missing, Finality, Nothing, Oneness, Anti, Un-being, Silence, Anti-Narrative, Anarchy, Darkness, Non-Existence, Erasure, Retcon and Loss. They are all of these broad categories and many other concepts and abstract ideas, anthropomorphized into a god-like incarnate. All the good and positive, all the evil and negative, and everything in between. But here lies the fundamental problem. Chaos is not a passive force. It is a "living" being that seeks to grow and spread. Which requires more sustenance. In our terms, they hunger for extreme emotions, thoughts, actions, and ideas. Since they are more powerful and have a more significant effect on the warp. Khorne is fed by duty and honor. But he is fed far more by rage and hatred. Each of the Chaos gods wants more and more of the stuff they are made of. They are known as the "Thirsting Gods" for a reason, and as civilizations grow and new species advance they provide new sources of sustanence for them. The Chaos Gods push everything that thinks either living, dead, mortal, immortal, organic, or synthetic to extremes. Sowing wars to create hatred, fear, despair, hope, pain, etc. Which they can then feed off of. Emotion in any extreme becomes dangerous. Love can become an obsession and fickle cruelty. Hope is a delusion or an all-encompassing drive that pushes everything to the side. The Chaos Gods could feed passively on the usual balance of emotion. It's just not that nutritious. So they farm the mortal races for emotions. Puppeteer higher beings into acting in ways that benefit them. Driving them to extremes to feed and grow. Chaos acts as a predatory and parasitic force that wants more and more and more. It cannot and will not allow its servants to be limited. To serve Chaos is to allow parasitic living ideas, masquerading as Gods from a realm beyond the infinite higher dimensions, to use and tweak your body and brain as they see fit. Mutation is not just external but internal. Slaanesh numbs the pleasure centers of its followers, removes inhibition, and addicts them to sensation. Nurgle shuts down discipline and self-reliance. Encouraging and forcing his followers to rot alive. Tzeentch sows seeds of paranoia and promise. Even after the original foe is slain, Khorne grants every greater might and fury. You cannot worship or serve the positive aspects of Chaos is the same reason you cannot do Heroin or Meth casually. Except this drug is alive and will do everything to drive its users utterly insane. The Chaos Gods are deities that are not content nor properly sentient. All they want is to feed and continue a feedback loop of misery until the Materium can no longer withstand the horrors unleashed. Chaos, at any time, could have devoted its full power to crushing the Imperium after the Emperor died. Yet it never did. Horus did his job; he turned the entire human species into a factory farm of pain and suffering. For 10,000 years, they fed upon the Imperium, just as they had on Aeldari and Kinebrach before, as well as the infinite other xeno's and civilizations that came before and after humanity. It's why despite their power, knowledge and influence they rarely interfere with the Immaterium despite their capability, as in truth there's no need for them to do so. This is also why Chaos hates and names its nemesis the Anathema. Because the Anathema is basically the incarnate of a species that will control itself and the cosmos. The Anathema is not the opposite of Chaos. It is not a god of order or tyranny. That is just another form of Chaos. The Anathema is Control. Self-control and control of the universe - a focal point around which all things are built and structured, which narratives and stories are built from, something that stands in direct opposite to Chaos.

    The problem with tyranids and every 40k faction is the lore explanation for why things take so long is that the imperium abandoned the technology that supposedly lead to their destruction originally(yet they still use warp travel). Logistically and due to the warp itself the imperium could never without perfect coincidence respond on time to stop a tyranid invasion. Starwars however does not deal with the same issues. And could have entire fleets respond immediately to the threat of an oncoming tyranid invasion. Comparatively to anything in the starwars universe from communications to tactics to movement the nids are at a snails pace. So if a force were able to repel them they’d also be able to track them down and maybe more if they have the fire power. Also you forgot there’s Genestealers and there are Separatists beneath the trade federation who aren’t greedy war mongers and just want reform.
