Porsche GT3 BMW CSL & M3 battle at Spa

Couple of laps with a friend in the CSL and a local Belgian in the GT3. This is a blast from the past, filmed in 2010. The M3 is a standard engine but after market brakes and suspension. Same with the CSL.

A few laps on a damp Oulton Park in Chesire in the fast fridge with a few race and super cars. The car is standard, tyre pressure cold 38 lbs all round. The main problem on track were the rain wipers on auto mode, they have a mind of their own. Sometimes they don't sweep! Brakes perform fairly well considering they have 2 tonnes to stop.The suspension is pretty soft but works well with the road...

Just discovered this video, love the quiet of the car as you power down the straights. I collect my new model 3 performance Tuesday and can’t wait after owning a GTR and several m light cars

Awesome, it sucks being a porsche driver. How much does the regen help in slowing for corners in the wet ? Good to see Oulton park hasnt chnaged since the days of BTCC with Labatt Cosworths .....
You do feel the braking power from the Regen, and it helps the brakes. it was showing pulling 1G on brakes on standard rubber in the wet. I still love my GT4 🙂 but its horse's for course's in those conditions. Yep great times with Andy Rouse in the fire breathing fords at Oulton!

about 60% charge...next time be about 90-100...then you got your full HP under 40% tesla reduces power
Absolute magic. I’m ordering a 3 performance soon. Love traditional petrol bangers…..but time to move on. I’ll keep my ice motorcycles for burning oil.
I don’t know how anybody can argue and say that ICE is better - it just isn’t on any front 👍
With ICE cars it's only sound I miss and the tesla out weighs more then just sound, buying a m3p soon! :D
A clear example were, softer suspensions and an advanced traction control paired with an electric motor and a such powerful powertrain it's quite superior to ICE cars...
Other car performance numbers would have to be similar first and foremost . Second , it’s raining. 3rd, driver would have to be equally skilled and pushing at the very least to get a proper comparison. If I’m wrong just tell me the model 3 performance Nurburgring lap record in comparison to other cars with similiar performance and if it’s the fastest then I’ll back off.
@@bigjdm5460Model 3 performance has a 7:44 second Nurburgring time with suspension and brake upgrades. Unmodified would get around the 8:15 second mark.
@@bigjdm5460The BMW M2 got a 7 minute 58 second time but costs like 40k+ AUD more so... the model 3 performance for the price is better then any comparable petrol car.
My mate has the GT4RS and vid doesn’t do the internal noise the car makes justice as it’s insane Was that a PCGB run event ?? Got Croft this August with them and looking forward to it ❤
Hi Chris, the 4RS does sound loud but sweet 🙂 Yes it was a PCGB event, well run and plenty space /time on track, its a little bumpy in parts and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Firstly I must apologise. I can feel your hurt brother. It must be painful to be scalped by a two tonne milk float. Admittedly it probably wasn't perfect conditions being icy and slippy, for the GR Yaris lightweight 4-wheel drive rally special...

Please remove that plastic cover from the PCM display. It will melt to the glass otherwise. I own a 718 GTS 4.0 and was told the same at the dealership, the PCM glass gets quite hot.
I have removed it now - all okay thanks 👍

Exactly my thoughts. I think the GT4 had better lines in the corners than the 4RS driver
