These elevators got a Kruppy mod in 2013 and this tower is now part of the Northeastern University dorms.

This elevator has been modded in 2020 by Excel.

This was installed in 1999.

The buttons are actually not EPCO SSL. I learned this from a mechanic. They are actually Innovation Bruiser. The reason they look a bit different is because they have mirror finish stainless steel instead of the more common brushed finish. Notice the reflection in the button. Compare it with the ones in this video, which you cannot see a reflection. th-cam.com/video/W51orOD7vV4/w-d-xo.html Also, next time you're there. Feel the edges of the buttons. To your surprise, you will notice that they are slanted and not rounded, just like all bruiser buttons. They may push different because the mechanics of the buttons have changed over the years. The key switches and fire/emergency indicators should be the dead giveaway that it's not EPCO. EPCO never used raised key switches or indicators. SSL never used raised indicators and also have rounded edges. I've also seen these buttons at several locations in person and was surprised the edges are angled. It's the reflection that causes the distorted appeance. They are still made today. You just have to specify mirror finished steel when ordering.

I used to stay at this hotel a lot for medical purposes as it's right across the street from Children's Hospital Boston. This video brings back so many memories.

It's a holeless hydraulic elevator

This was modded by Schindler, but around 2015 I believe, this and the escalators were ripped out because the upper level SEARS was converted into a Primark. The SEARS closed in 2018. The South Shore Plaza SEARS in Braintree also did that, but is now 2 stories as it was a 3 story building. The elevator (Westinghouse) is still there.

I believe this was installed in the 90's because from the 90's to the early 2000's they used mt fixtures. Also this would be a schindler Ht if it was modernized in 2006
