Don Friedman's piano playing is innovative and extremely technical. In particular, his left hand's balance was wonderful, and his touch with a sharp contrast of dynamics was powerful, and his long phrases, which used a lot of 8th notes, were truly a moden pianist. In that sense, the highly skilled and flexible co-stars on this album were Friedman's best trio. Recorded Mar 21. 1978 piano Don Fri...

Enjoying jazz from the bottom of heart is when listen to records by a group of great artists who like jazz fans. The two main characters are Dizzy Gillespie and Count Basie. The contrast between Gillespie, who demonstrated unfading tone and technique, and Basie, who used the minimum amount of sound to create the maximum sense of swing, was truly vivid. Recroded Feb 3. 1977 trumpet Dizzy Gillesp...

One of the very best jazz guitarists ever... Cal Collins played in a fantastic way, rithmically, melodicaly and harmonicaly... Thank you so much for uploading this... I had this recording in a cassette during the early 90's, in my city of Quito, Ecuador... The cassette with these songs just got recorded by a few musicians and music lovers... Nobody knew who he was. An enigma. It took the arrival of the internet to learn about the great Cal Collins, a self taught guitar player who also happened to be a light aircraft pilot instructor .. ONE OF THE FINEST in my opinion 🎸🎶🎶🎶💃🏻🕺🏻🍷🍷♑♋💞♾️
Amazing music!!!
