so you buy a new tractor after 6K hours? how do you afford that? We bought a new claas celtis in 2007, and it's still going strong. it recently hit 14 k Hours

Had mixed results with direct drilling here we are on heavy land and had good results from spring beans with both a claydon and a simtech and good spring barley from the simtech but the winter wheat with the simtech is looking like it needed more loose soil to cope with the wet but with the autumn and winter we have been having direct was the best option other than just mixing mud with the plough. I agree direct is a good option but it's good to keep other methods around when conditions don't suit the system. Chisel ploughed for all the spring barley this year as the stubble had set like concrete.

Direct drilling 🤔 i can understand why people think its good but I think to achieve the full benefits takes a lot more than just the drill... chopping straw, muck, cover crops etc. And I know I would struggle with the initial output of money for kit then lower yields for a few years while the land adapts. I'm also not sure how it works with root crops as on my own land we have a root crop every other year. Although if I was to take over where I work I would consider it for the heavier land. And I'm definitely considering a drill that can go direct for myself but purely so I could offer it for contracting purposes

Great Video! Totally agree about the Horsch drill, quality bit of kit, but at the end of the day the equipment has to make financial sense. were you temped by a muzuri drill at all?

Hi there its good see SOMBODY with bit taste. The usual you tubers go on about the comfort but thy are looking for problems. The Claas range I have 2 and 3 various in size New Holland that are ag machines. They still have the gear box of the Renault Ares with tweeks and I love what can do. We have a 20 plate and 70 Plate no need wheel weights. Why would spend enough money on one machine that I can spend on 2

Too just a wee coment about uf volumes ur music is full volume just about but then ur audio when ur speaking its very low it spoils what is great video subject . Jm sure in time ul manage to figure out the volume levels so its more consistant . Anyway hope ur well all the best pls take care .
