I served in the Fleet Air Arm and on Sea Vixens for several years, including on HMS Eagle and 899 Squadron, as your beautiful model shows. It is a pity that the upper surface colour is wrong. It should be Dark Sea Grey. Also, those are not gun pods but 2" rocket pods. There were never yellow circles under the all-flying tailplane. That said, you did a great job on the model, the real version of which I definitely worked on!

Superb build! I particularly like you using Flory models clay washes. I have them too and I like them very much, particularly on gray surfaces, like the underside of your Stuka.

Absolutely stunning

Nice build, but why did you spend so much time painting a Sabre black ? to the best of my knowledge all Sabres were delivered and installed into airframes wearing the Napier factories own in house dark privet green, all the pics I have ever seen of Sabre engines in aircraft that were then black were usually as a result of post war restorations and rebuilds, original first installs and operational types were always as delivered from the factory in privet green.

Anyone else get the double talking at around 34 mins when talking about the pre shading

I have been waiting a long while to find a video like this. I inherited a 1:24 Junkers Stuka model plane that was purchased new in the late 1980's by my step dad and I want to get it put together. Not as detailed as most of the kits found today but I think with some research and effort want to make it into something special. It's been a LONG time since I have completed a kit and watching this helps a lot.
