Bethesda does have good writing on smaller scale. I was reminded by one of the few good things in Shattered Space. The grandfather who has dementia, and the vortex granddaughter haunting an orphange. Two different side missions that hook together in such a sad but sweet. Especially if you remember the music box.

Oh gosh. Im still playing fallout 4 like ive got all the time in the world, so ive been revisiting places and doing sidequests and unmarked quests, but there's this ONE. its when youre roaming around a radio relay and you'll pick up a faint emergency signal when activated, and its of a woman trapped in the jewelry vault at Fallons as the bombs drop, and shes desperately begging for help and sobbing, and it broke my heart listening to that message on repeat knowing that even as i ran as fast as i could to Fallons, she was most likely already 200 years gone, or feral. Or about big johns salvage yard train-car bunker that he didnt turn the ventilation on for, so in the emergency radio broadcast you can hear him talking about how his whole family is going to suffocate down there, and there was 2 unmarked child graves in the bunker next to the 2 parental skeletons holding eachother in bed. God i love environmental storytelling done the Bethesda way. Ever since the toilet skeletons in fallout 3. Shit i remember some oblivion and morrowind stuff made me giggle.

Another holotape that gets me in the feels is the one made by Marlene Glass, the daughter of ghoul Arlen who created the Giddyup Buttercups 😢😢😢

This holiday actually made me cry the first time I listened to it. I was playing as the female sole survivor, after Shaun was gone. It was terribly depressing..l

FO4 had so much potential 😢

Hmm, I know quite a few... Would you like the one about Cait, getting sold into slavery and killing her parents in spite of revenge, then shooting herself up with chems? Or there's the one about Preston Garvey, the minuteman. He got betrayed by all the other groups of minuteman when they refused to help concord when it was under seize by the gunners, and countless lives were lost. He fell into deep depression and suicidal thoughts. Not to mention the VERY twisted and sad story of Nick Valentine. Uploaded to be used in the future, Nick was a cop in a former life. He had a lover who was gunned down by the gangs ruled by Eddy Winter. That's all from me. (Sorry for the gaming backstory and any spoilers I may have caused😅)

Honestly, there was so much missed opportunities with this like they easily could’ve made Azreal apart of the main story of Arkham Knight or give him a more important role than just a side mission where you do challenges playing as him he was honestly kind of nerfed in Knight
