I will never forgive Taiga Waitit for what he did to Thor
listening to any music of bahubali series feel like heaven . its so meaningful yet melodies
Indian movies follow 4 or 5 arc style
fun fact the actor who played Vinayak's son also played the role of grandmother.
Fun fact it was never meant to be a horror,it was just one of the "dant katha" (grandmother's story)
You know, Tumbaad is currently running as a re-release in India and drawing full houses! Glad to see it getting the deserved recognition
Great review, just followed you. But let me tell you our perspective. Kantara encapsulates life of a small village and just as our day-to-day life it has sad, happy, funny & other moments. And the makers of the film shows everything. West denotes a category/genre to film, in India we have all genres in one film (usually commercial films called - masala film) with one genre being the main one. Think of it as making tea. How would you make tea? Probably boil water add tea leaves/tea bag and a dash of milk. We would boil ginger, add a mixture of cardamom, fennel, cinnamon etc. as well. Cheers. Keep bringing us your reviews.
It has been re-released in cinemas the last Friday and doing better than the original release in 2018.
I love both movies. The second movie really moved me because it shows exactly our politics and how sociopaths and psychopaths are made out of nothing. Bahubali demonstrates what a person that shows compassion, respect, love but also rule of law and is someone that is made for the people. He is a person person. His brother on the other hand represents what our politicians are. They come in office just to grow rich, wealthy and have all the power. When you add the three factors, money, wealth and power, you create a monster and psychopath for life. You don’t care about your people, or about your culture. You just become a monster until your put down. Unlike the movie however, our politicians get away from that.
Peak Indian Cinema 🎥
You must watch eega by ss rajamouli it has an incredible story and humor
This movie will literally make you scream "JAI MAHISMATI!" at 3 in the moring xd
The Ken Watanabe remake of Unforgiven, set in Hokkido. Is a superb remake. Definitely, worth watching.
I'll have to check that out
@@filmreview4604 I think it was on Amazon Prime.
Love this breakdown, I totally share your feelings about the scene where they kill the first cowboy
Thank you! Yeah that was rough
I think the reviewer is mistaken about William Munny having killed women and children in his past. A theme throughout the movie is ‘myth’ and I think these are myths that have grown round him as opposed to truth. There’s a scene around a campfire where Munny apparently recalls one of his darkest deeds with shame and guilt and it’s in relation to shooting a young man in the head for almost no reason when drunk. If Munny had have actually killed women and children, I think that would have probably weighed more heavy on his mind.
Yes I mightve been mistaken about that. Thanks for watching!
@@filmreview4604 great video though for a big Unforgiven fan, thank you
Tumbaad reference!!!
Well said
This is one of my favorite movie.
I blame Joss Whedon.
He definitely started this nonsense
Please watch ega movie
Duck I says.
Haven't felt as good out of a theatre since The Dark Knight.
Same here. Such a fantastic experience
This review sucked lol
Thanks for watching lol Is there something specifically you didn't like about the video?
Only problem I had is you included John wick in your list of good movies. That is a god awful movie. Other than that good job
Lol Fair enough! I appreciate it
With zendayas casting People gotta remember she was coming off spiderman no way home And reintroducing dune 1 they needed a star in the film And when yah make part 2 You have to keep her.
Very true. I understand the casting choice, but it felt to me more like a studio decision rather than Denis seeing her as the ideal actress to play Chani. But it's all good, she was fine
@@filmreview4604 absolutely a studio decision.
i honestly thought she played a fantastic chani. she was written for this movie differently than her OG character where in the past she kinda is this passive submissive character. where in these new movies she is more relatable. she’s fremin, she’s a fighter and falls in love with an outworlder, can you imagine spending time with someone for so long to end it all up by having your partner say im gonna marry someone else? fremin don’t understand that type of culture.
I hear ya. Only thing is in the books fremen are polygamist so it wouldn't have been outside their cultural norms. But I agree she is more relatable in the film 👍
That one line 'its a hell of a thing killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever he's ever gonna have' sums up the philosophy of Munny
Such a great line
For a film to pack in so much from a book into the movie, they did a great job not sacrificing too much!
For real it's such a dense story but I think they gave us the most accurate adaptation they could
Denis’ attention to detail and his ability to create verisimilitude of the Dune universe is excellent.
Totally agree. You feel absorbed into the world he's brought to life on screen in a way most directors can't manage. Thanks for watching!
Part 1 was awesome
Agreed! But I think part two is on a whole other level
Nothing wrong with long movies
GoT is trash? Lmao. And all the themes you mentioned are present in the rings of power show. Lastly, have you ever even heard of a movie or show based on a book that 100% follows the source material? Amazon paid for the rights, they can do as they please. I’ve never read these stories - rings of power was good entertainment for me. I have read the Hobbit; it was decent, but overrated.
Themes can be present in both, but it's all in the execution. The Lord of the Rings films did a FAR better job while honoring Tolkiens world. I'm glad you like Rings of Power, but I do not. Amazon bought the rights to the appendices to the Return of the King and royally mishandled the material. Just because they bought the rights does not mean they can just do literally anything with the story that someone else created, that's a completely dishonest argument.
@@filmreview4604 that’s actually exactly what it means. Look at Disney star wars - they bought the rights to fuck with that ip as much as they want. You can’t seem to acknowledge that your personal biases are the only argument you have against this show, which makes your opinion worthless as a critique
Oh no no no no…..I don’t agree with you at all about English Bob. I feel that character was invaluable to a story that strips away western myth. I thought the writing of that character was absolutely brilliant in that of a man trying to make himself a heroic figure when in fact he is nothing but a back shooting coward. I thought it was brilliant to have sequences where Little Bill absolutely destroys him physically with a savage beating and then destroys his pride with the truth about him to Mr. Beauchamp who is Bob’s “ biographer”.
That's a very good point
@@filmreview4604 I was about to say the same thing. Bob is portraying himself to be a great gun fighter, to his tag-along writer. The scene of him being ridden out of town holding his bent pistols, was like a showing that he wasn't all that. Achilles had been exposed.
I agree, I think the film would feel like it was missing something essential if you took English Bob out of it, in terms of defining the character of Little BIll and characterising the theme of ‘myth’ in the West.
Fantastic video! Thank you for have made this!
Bro watch the indian movie Animal, woke critics hate this movie, they are saying it's the most toxic masculine movie. It's teaser itself gave me goosebumps.
If woke people hate it, it's probably good haha I'll check it out!
@@filmreview4604 hey how was the teaser and trailer?
This and all films like it. They are created for those who are cognitively compromised and suffering from "Dunning Kruger Effect." Please consider this is truly nonsensical chew toys for inane rubes. They mean well, but seriously know no better. This is heartbreaking to listen to; thinking how deeply education has failed the world... PLEASE PRAY!
You sound like a pretentious hipster with new-found access to a thesaurus lol It's a movie, chill out.
This is without doubt my favourite western. I myself really liked the idea of English Bob because he optimises the myth of the romantic Wild West. It’s all a lie. Just as the true Wild West was an era of violent, merciless ethos of kill or be killed. Behind English Bobs seemingly heroic demeanour is a cowardly drunk who killed a wounded man in cold blood simply out of petty jealousy. When we’re first introduced to him, English Bob speaks in Received Pronunciation. Upholding his facade of an honourable, heroic, elegant gentleman. But as soon as he’s rattled, he reverts back to a thick cockney accent. This demonstrates the genius of Clint Eastwoods writing. Everything about English Bob is a lie. His demeanour, his heroism, his exploits, even his accent. All false.
I agree the EB character is so important to the story.
Lesson: Don’t be friends with guys who have a Little Dick or murderers. You might get caught up in their in-securities or violent behavior.
I discovered a clip of Part 1 on TH-cam, I showed my wife and we bought it and watched it on Prime. Afterwards, I immediately looked up part 2, and much to our fortune, it was premiering at our local theater the very next day. . We bought tickets and went, we sat in the middle center of the best view, aside from us, there were 6 Indian people in the back row. . My wife and I got into the film laughing and cheering throughout the film. When the film was over and we were leaving the theater, the group of people stopped us. I thought at first that we had insulted them, but they were happy. . They told us that they had never seen Americans act that way, that the way we engaged with the film was the way that Indian audiences reacted. . They asked us to give them an interview for their Bollywood/Tollywood TH-cam channel, we gladly obliged. . It was one of my best movie going experiences, hands down.
What a great story!!
Those CGI animals also looked very fake.
I wonder if little bill have whipped those cowboys would have not got the bounty on the cowboys?
New teaser of kantara chapter 1 came.. Checkout on youtube

If you're looking for bollywood films then you can check out the Shakespeare trilogy by Vishal bhardwaj Maqbool based on Macbeth Omkara on Othello Haider on hamlet 3 idiots is a classic and you'll definitely love it Zoya Akhtar makes movies that are more relatable to western audience compared to usual bollywood movies so you can check out her film Zindagi Na milegi dobara
If you liked Jesper Kyd's music in Tumbbad then I recommend "Hitman: Contacts." Sounds like a dance club in hell.
Fun fact: the grandmother in starting of the movie was played Vinayak's son.
