How long does it usually take to start on freezing cold mornings? Does it take longer when it hasn't been used for several days?
@@robinprice4877 the cold doesn’t bother it so much. If it hasn’t been started in a few days it takes a bit to fire up though.
Make sure when you install the new one, to pump the brakes 4 times, honk the horn 2X short and one long honk, then pump the gas 5x followed by turning the headlights on and off 2X in THAT order to initialize the new switch🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like you have a bad brake switch
There is a fuse up behind the pedal that might have went bad . Check that.
Brake light switch
The switch itself goes bad also. Good luck
You might have accidentally kicked or moved the brake light switch. If the bracket is bent, the pedal can't swing up high enough to activate it. Either bend it down, or do what I had to do, and put a zip tie around the brake pedal arm to fill I the extra space.

I'm getting ready to do an egr delete on my 81 f100, been having too many issues with it causing a miss when warm, did you have to mess with the timing or the tuning of the carb after you deleted the egr? I've heard stories of having to do that because the engine wouldn't run right without the egr.
@@lewisriverkid9929 yeah you’ll have to get a vacuum gauge and tune it to 20 inch pounds. It’s real easy

Which motor do you prefer?
The 318 is the most common engine that came in those vans and is one of the most reliable gas engines ever built. They run forever, have a decent amount of torque, and when something breaks, it’s not very expensive or challenging to fix. Gotta recommend the 318 over the V6 forsure. Although the 360 is also a great V8 with alittle more horsepower.

4.9L I6 with a single barrel carburetor. You are welcome to use any of my videos for sounds clips as long as you use more than 1 from my channel. I’ve got pretty of coldstart a on here

Yeah pretty much. Needs a new exhaust manifold. Replaced the gasket and the manifold cracked when I put it back on. Still need to fix that but shit costs so much right now.

How’d you block of the exhaust part of that tube. Going through it rn with my old 4.9 bs egr. Somebody had a miserable attempt at deleting the smog pump and the egr and decided they’d fuck with the vaccum lines 😂. Bolts pretty hard to find so guess I’ll just make something but how did you do the one bolt on the header?
I found a drain plug type of thing that fit and put it in and it worked just fine. Mine had threads where the old pipe hooked up

I lived in the UP on the Menominee River. Every spring the ice would jam and we’d have water nearly to our house for a good week or so. We never got flooded because of where we had built the house, but our neighbor was flooded a couple of years in a row.
I bet. The bridge over by Rapid River has almost been under water once or twice too. Lol

Yeah It can get crazy down there too. I grew up around the Cadillac area and some of those valleys in McBain filled right up with water.
But does it breathe well? I have a cammed 6.0 and a built 4l80 with stall in my one ton work van. I love toys with the loud muffler boys. I could use a quiet good breathing muffler
Yeah it seems too. It’s got a 2.25 inch inlet and 1.75 inch outlet so it’s kind of small for a bigger V8 like that but it is a straight through design so it flows really well.

Cut out the expletives on here please! Looks like your oil pressure gauge & voltmeter do not appear to be working after engine started, the oil pressure should rise on the gauge & the voltmeter should show a discharge & charge respectively.
Yeah bud, my gauges are pretty fucked. She’s got oil pressure though.
Unfortunately, trailer trash doesn’t know any better
