You were my teacher in 2006. will never forget you. I discovered this music because of you.
Sounds like a fun-fair song!
Jacob Zuma?
Amazing Job! I am most definitely playing this for offertory!
Player musically, cleanly, and beautifuly - this is too often treated, like the Widor Toccata as a virtuoso showpiece and is a muddy, unenjoyable mess. Bravo!
I love the organ but a lot of churches have gotten away from the organ. I wish they would bring it back
Wonderful!
Excellent!!!! BRAVO!!!!!
Amazing I absolutely love it
Hallo und frohes Neues Jahr. Gibt es von Ihren Liedern auch Noten?
Do you have sheet music for Revive Us Again?
Stupendous! The only instrument to mimic the voice of angels!
Great playing, but why are were the low base notes in the left hand taken out?
They are not. They are played with the feet.
@@Clyde0000 that makes a lot of sense. I kinda forget that the organ uses that.
Killer stop picks dude keeps building n building up on it , nice , Joplins smiling from above .
Bravo maestro!!
Glory to His name still sounds like it's being played by an Anglican or Congregational organist. Either the doctor can't play gospel or the pipe organ is just not capable like a Hammond.
Wow
What do you think they had before Hammonds? The pipe organ! In Dr. King's Church they had a wonderful pipe organ.
BEAUTIFUL !!!!
Absolutely spectacular! Nothing short of exemplary! Impeccable diction! I feel truly inspiring having listened this most mellifluous arrangement. The transitions were mind blowingly transcendent! Bravo!✊🏽
A1 thank you so much for making this.
I feel like i prefer ragtime pieces similar to this tempo, most people play it really fast (1.5x+ this speed)
Good memory. That's a lot to remember without the sheet music.
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!
I really like the arrangement of the song "A Mighty Fortress." It sounds like Christmas.
Wow that had my eyes wide open in amazement changing all over the place like that.
The Mighty Hammond has led to it
I love professor Hurd playing the organ sound
Sounds nice

My mom was a musician in our church for 58 years and she loved to play a medley for the offeratory and you hear her style of playing. She loved to modulate, transpose as she desired. She played both the piano and our Rodgers organ. I have index cards with the hymns played for many services over the years and funerals she played for. She made a piano cd of her favorite songs upon the urging of one of our church members before her passing. We have no one right now to play our Rogers organ as our organist passed away two years ago. is it a Rogers organ you were playing?
Wonderful playing, James! Thank you for sharing your sensitive and thoughtful interpretations. A friend of mine wrote these Variations on “Wildwood”. I thought you might enjoy hearing them. Shalom. th-cam.com/video/gdL0fh-Au0g/w-d-xo.html
I'm sure the lack of back rests on European organ stools has sent many an organist to the osteopath...me included!
According to the NAACP web site, James Weldon Johnson wrote Lift Every Voice and Sing in 1900 and the music was composed by his brother in 1905.
you made Scott Jopilin proud pops ...... :D
Well done! Love this.
New subscriber here, thank you for this service sir!
I will show this to my Lord Father-in-Law and see what he thinks.

Since this piece is supposed to be Royalty Free, due to Joplin's being dead for over a century, may I use this version in my videos?
The music is not copyrighted anymore, but the performance of the music is. You did right by asking for permission, hopefully you get a response.
@@highbrookendmodelrailway I will use it, but you can be sure I will give the credit to Mister Hurd. His performance is just flawless and so breathtaking that I would consider using his performance as a music for my hypothetical bride to walk to the altar. My girlfriend liked it and she likes the idea, even though she prefers walk to the Church altar to Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós.
Played from the heart
Professor Hurd, good to hear from you
An absolutely beautiful rendition on an Organ of Pineapple Rag.
Joplin was truely one of the Greatest of Composers Black Folks should have a right to proud of Joplin for he showed he was as great as any white composer
Well played! Just the right tempo. I’m learning this piece on the piano. Thank you from 🇦🇺 Australia
Interesting. Personally I prefer the crispness of the piano for this piece. Enjoyed the playing though.
I love it, its beautiful!
Nice interpretation here. I enjoyed it very much! Thanks for sharing!
Sir, this might sound crazy but I'd like to try. My name is Josh, and I have a really humble and hidden ordinary TH-cam with barely 120 subscribers. (I care little for these numbers). I loved your content really much, and I'd love to know more about you as well as know your story, therefore I'd like to request for your permission to interview you remotely and have a chat with you. I know you are a professional and must be busy with stuff and work, therefore there's little possibility that you accept this, but it's worth a try. I am no paparazzi and I am just an ordinary person. I'm no reporter.
Professor Hurd, you deserves more views. Here you have a new viewer, suscriber and fan from Mexico.
Very well done James ! Greeting from Canada brother :-)
You. Love
