I actually used one on my outboard racing pram in the early fifties. It ran good, started easy. Mine was five horsepower.

Is that some sort of carburetor with an incorporated atmospheric valve mounted to the port side cylinder? It looks as though it may have a fuel line leading up to it from the bottom.

How fast do you think you were going? I have the 1931 model just like yours but mine doesn't act like 12 hp. It acts like a 7 hp speedster

I'm currently restoring one of these. It's missing the contact set on the timing lever. The micarta(?) block is there. Your video explains a lot. Thanks! Now all I need is a flywheel and the correct tank...

I normally mess with motors from the 50's. I just bought my first 1924 Johnson A waterbug could you please tell me what plugs you are using? An equivalent to the champion c-7. And what fuel to gas mixture along with the octane. I can get 86 or 90 ethanol free. Many thanks

most excellent. I find the valve train noises sort of soothing. Wishing you the best with your search for a Schebler DLX-76 . It does seem to run well with the Johnson carburetor adapted to it. Very glad that this motor got into the right hands. Is your oil pump a brass body, or aluminum? I really like that water supply set-up.
