Hi 😅😅😅😅
I'm a direct decent from him my mums maiden name is ash
Thank ya 👍👍
Thank you for the story. My mother's side of the family are Ash, most of them lived in West Virginia
My husband and I own the Ash house on the Ohio, pictures in your presentation. We have been compiling a timeline of George's life, and agree with almost all of the information in your video.
That's awesome! I wasn't sure of the house's current ownership. Thank you for watching and preserving that history. I would love to see a complete timeline of his life.
Is there anymore information I can get from u about the family?
64 rods is = 1,056 feet. ABOUT the standard distance, of two ' normal ' city blocks. ...f y info....(old surveyor...)
Turbulent time's seem to dominate this earth, by those that try to enforce their will on others.
You pronounced Pottawatomie WRONG
Alcohol and prejudice are a bad combination
What the heck is this doin on youtube .. Im right down the road
Im from Flat Rock Illinois. A few miles south of Palestine. Never knew this happened. Neat to know do much history happened around here
I read a fictional account of this incident called "Massacre at Fall Creek" years ago. I can't remember the name of the Author but it's a very well written novel
Jessamyn West is the author. It is available used on eBay & Thrift books, new on Amazon.
No white people were constantly facing unequal justice. The Indians were savages except for the white Indians such as the Crow, the Cherokee, the snake Indians, the Choctaw, the pottowattmi, and many others.
Well, the Indians started it. All the whites that were attacked and killed by the Indians, it stands to reason why the white's finally took revenge.
I don't like the delivery of your presentation! It's too punchie, with broken speech, etc,! Sorry but I'm out.
I'm still working on my delivery. Thanks for stopping by anyway!
@@FrontierLore I thought it was great, I wouldnt change a thing. Thanks for the history lesson
Interesting video/history!!!
Awesome video!!! Was exploring Fall Creek Park last Thanksgiving when visiting my brother. It was too cold for him, so he went back to the vehicle. He pointed out the historical markers, so I went to them. Interesting history.
I wonder what citizens of the USA in 2124 will say about the violence of 2024?
Unlike 1824 much of that violence is on video. I'm sure they'll have a lot to say! Unless there is an apocalypse of some kind.
2224
Violence by whom? Against Who?
Good day, All . Thank - you, Mr. F. Lore . This, is very similar, to '' Unworthy History '' channel, here on U tube. Similar stories, but very True ! Thanks, for not having any back - ground music....Silence, is Golden. Or, as in DECENT, LOGICAL = Music = Less is More ! Shalom, from eastern central Alberta. Check - out Fort Battleford, Saskatchewan. Went to school, about 300 feet from that military graveyard, there.
Thanks for the comment! I do quite enjoy Unworthy History and similar channels. I use background music, but I try to keep the audio levels low and subtle.
The murders took place near where Markleville, Indiana is located. A historical marker is just southeast of Pendleton and east of Markleville on the north side of Indiana 38. The murder location is in cornfields just north of the sign. The marshy pond has long since been drained. I have looked for the burial sites of the 3 men who it was said are buried at the Pendleton Cemetery on top of the ridge overlooking Falls Park. (In Pendleton) There are no markers and they are not listed but I believe there are buried there.
use LiDAR Scanner on your phone see if you can pick up the dips in the ground where the bodies would be buried
Interesting history.
I look forward to your future video on Osanamon. There is deep, rich history in this state.
Thank you for this , I love American History no matter the fact's . I had to like and subscribe .
Source for ur claim??? Pembina Metis here my ancestors were not canables. The Ojibwa/Chippewa/Metis did not eat people!!! No where in our history!!! Stop wachisu lies!
Hello, the source is from George Ash’s interview, which was published in George Turner's "Traits of Indian Character". This is a narrative and should be taken as secondhand. It's heavily implied that they ate this man because they were starving and desperate.
Wachisu isn't an Ojibwe Chippewa nor Metis word. Wacichu is a Lakota Sioux word.
@@SoldierDrew as well as a Nakota word. Weenuck is also Nakota/Lakota word; but Tugeye is Cree. Sioux on the other hand is an Ojibwe/ Anishinaabe word meaning snake. I'm a Trottier, I use Nakota words as well as Ojibwe & Cree

So cool!... Whata' story ....whata' life! In a weird way....i kinda know his upbringing...
I'm glad justice was done for those native families.. thank u for sharing this history.. from South Carolina
Appleseed orchards were only for apple cider/-jack (up to 66%) alcohol because only 1 in 80000 apple seeds become a new edible apple variety to cloned with cuttings/graftings; so John Chapman was the American Dionysus (Botany of Desire, section on Apples (Tulips, Cannabis and Potatoes also covered)
Great video just subscribed because a historical story told by a human without all the crap people trying to tell a story with dulling or raising their voices
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks 🤝
Thanks for posting. John Simmons is a great uncle of mine.
Here is the exact google search you should look up: Osanamon : a story of Vermillion County in the days before the coming of the white man.
Thank you for this! This is exactly the kind of stuff I look for.
Do a video of "Osanoman/Osonoman" an indian village massacred outside of cayuga, indiana. Information is hard to find, but the summary is this: the native men went on a hunting trip. While they were gone, a group of military settlers landed on the banks of the wabash and killed all the old, women, and children. Once the men returned to their village, they set out on the war path. The conclusion of this revenge trek is unclear, and has no real ending. Being from kingman, Indiana, i cant find local history that gives this incident any real conclusion. Maybe you can find something ive missed.

Thank you, not only for the story, but fir narrating ut yourself instead of AI. That fact alone, got you a sub. Keep up the good work
