@@utube9487 I did not see speed improvements but much more stable / with old firmware I had disconnected issues when copying big files/ with latest firmware better

@@utube9487 it also depends which sad you installed as I remember we black was using more power than we blue disks/ when mac sleeps fully disk also sleeps and gets cold

@@linwayne1557 if your ap or router supporting wifi 7 and if you install latest kernel and latest ubuntu updates .you should not anything , you can install openspeedtest on cable connected device can be nas or some other computer and test your speed

I did upload a video about how the temperature is under load. My friend has OWC,I will try to arrange a video they use the same chip ASM-2464 performance more less same but build quality of owc much better also owc has driver option which makes more stable product , but I got this Hagibis for 50 eur :)

@@Mniko_Tech You can still update the ASM2464PD chipset FW on this enclosure, just google it, there are websites that host the latest FW's.

@@Mniko_Tech I think he meant does it completely shut off (goes cold) when Mac is put to sleep or is it still running when the Mac is in sleep mode (stays warm).

It won't fit like that, feel free to dismantle heatsink ,this passive aluminum case really does good job

Hello , thx for comment I did upload 2nd video I tried to show distance between screw and plate , it touches metal plate so slightly but you are right kinda wrong design

The alloy body and finned heat dissipation plate help a lot I had UGREEN 40Gbps M.2 NVMe Enclosure with Cooling Fan, but this one is much better, I will test soon heat under load

I have this same enclosure. It is indeed that fast. However, it gets SOOO hot that I am afraid of using it.
