Hi ! Sorry for delay in response. If your PC having somachine 4.1 version and you want to download program in your controller. Then the controller must have the firmware equivalent to software's firmware. Then only you can download the program into controller.

m218 firmware will be installed by default at the time of installation of Somachine V4.1. follow the below link: C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\SoMachine Software\V4.1\LogicBuilder\Firmware\M218\

If you have a licence copy of software. you must have the unlock code to unlock the M218 package from your software.

+Logan Jaynes you need to purchase licenced software and available for purchase.it is not free. share me the controller part references installed in your machine. let me know if any kind of support required.

+loganflogan let me know if you have the program backup of your machine? i can arrange the software for you. please also share the controller part references and program backup(if you have). need to judge that it has been programmed in V3.1 or 4.1,so that i can give you software accordingly.

+Automation Solution The PLC is a modicon TM218LDD40DUPHNB X1 PV:07 RL:11 SV:3.37 I have no digital copies of the machine program but I do have a pre-programmed spare PLC. The machine was programmed about 1 year ago.

+loganflogan thanks for your nice information. i would like to inform you that TM218 PLC doesn't have the option to upload the program by any way. only you can download the program from pc to module in TM218. so it is meaningless to purchase the software until and unless you have the soft copy backup of PLC program.

Ozan Yasin Dogan have you installed So machine 4.1 on your computer? if installed, then you will find the firmware file automatically by browsing below location:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\SoMachine\Firmware\M218\V2.0.31.54\M218_V2.0.31.54_20131108.mfw let me know in case of any problem.

I guess you're confusing 3.1 with 4.1. 4.1 does not install under SoMachine directory, it is installing under "SoMachine Software" directory. Exec loader for M218 is also a part of M218 package which is provided for v3.1. Even the M218 firmware version says inside 2.0."31".54. So you better delete this video as it is going to only confuse people.

Ozan Yasin Dogan 3.1 and 4.1 version software is totally different. you need to install So machine V4.1 separately on your computer. please read the description properly, i have already mentioned that if you want to connect your M218 controller with So machine version 4.1 then you only need to update the firmware. do you know ??So machine version 4.1 software is launched by Schneider. there are two methods to program M218 controller:- 1. by using So machine V3.1 (if the user have V3.1 software then no need to update the firmware) 2. by using So machine V4.1 (if the user have V4.1 software then need to update the firmware enabling to connect with V4.1 software.) So conclusion is V3.1 is previously launched software and there is no patch available to upgrade it in V4.1. you need to fresh installtion of So machine V4.1 (M221 & M241 controller can only program with V4.1 not with 3.1 for any other clarification feel free to wite me.

Automation Solution Dear Ozan Yasin Dogan, if a user want to buy So machine software, then obviously he prefer new version software not old version. after that he want to program M218 controller,then need to update the firmware of the controller. in future it may be possible that M218 will having updated firmware which will suits to V4.1 software. but now all M218 controllers supplied by Schneider is equipped with firmware according to V3.1. that's why need to update the firmware enabling to connect with So machine V4.1 i believe that your all doubts has been cleared now.
