Most people raise a family, earn a living and then they die. They stop growing, they stop working on themselves, they stop stretching and they stop dreaming. Then they complain when things don't work out.
I am so afraid to live in Texas....
I caught the beginning of the flood too right there back in 2007. Did it start going over the road by the time you left?
Wow. Amazing video to actually see it before and after.
Is this near Garner State Park the Frio river
No. This is right off of ranch road 187 south going towards Batesville & Pearsall.
That’s a mudslide not a flood
Alltea Allshade kind of. It a flash flood because of heavy rain. The reason it's mud is because the river bank was extremely dry. Thanks for watching!
Where in S. Texas is this and how did you know ahead of time it would flood like that? Does that Creek bed always flash after heavy rain? It's a great video that shows the power of a flash flood.
Sabinal river south of Sabinal on hwy 187. Rain probably came from the Utopia area.
Thanks! I was a Deputy in S. TX & had never seen flash flooding like that before in the county I worked.
@@chadthatcher4051 I know that area real well. This is what the river looks like right now. Already ready for another flashflood.
Totally shocking! . . .had two classmates nearly drown during a flash flood while camping in the northern wilds of British Columbia!!! Thank God they're both okay!
Is there like sinks in the road or something
I assumed this was a stream, and that the water was going to continue to flow past. Gradually I realized that this is the end of the line, and this basin was just going to fill up. Judging by the size of the some of the plants which got submerged, there hadn't been this much water here for at least a few years.
I can't see one min
Where does the water go after that area fills up? Can you take video of the area from higher up on the bank?
I'm glad I don't live next to that! Awesome, video though.
I'd live in the hills too! lol. How often does flash flooding like this happen in this spot?
@@jjxtwo1 Its runs into the Frio river about 5 miles south of here.
Where does the flow go? It looks like it was flowing into a dead-end!
