I saw 4 gigs on Zappa’s last tour in 1988…2 at the Wembley Arena, one at the Birmingham NEC, and the last at the Ahoy in Rotterdam. I recorded them all on my Sony Professional Walkman, and still listen to them to this day! I remember at the Ahoy, when Frank was messing around on his Synclavier, getting all these mad sounds like crazy laughter, what sounded like a toilet being flushed, and various howls and whoops! He had an awesome sense of humour and of the absurd! And he sure knew his way around the Synclavier!

What a great gig it was. Frank said he would come back when they got the balcony fixed. He was as good as his word. We never saw him in Glasgow again.

I missed this show because I was in a three-piece country band playing just a few blocks away from the Fox. It would've cost everything I was earning that night just to go to the show if I had been free. I remember a guy coming into the bar (Crazy George's) and telling me he was going to the first show. I was sick with envy. I had no possibility of going, since bar bands had to play until 1:30 in those days.

Nice! But this is not a UK premiere, because it was performed at the Zappa Roundhouse event in 2010
