If you want huge damage play the healer that deploys shields.... it has a shotgun can block damage for you or teammates and the shield if dropped on a mech does massive damage

I'm interested in seeing more of the dinosaur-named mechs as the game progresses (A Pterosaur-named one that can shift into a plane feels like a no brainer, but others I have no idea & would like to see)

yeah Bull-G didnt have the dodge roll which is sad but hey Bull-G gave a ton of stagger which i always use bazooka then i use beam shield 2 time n one beam rifle afterward n finish it off with the crazy heavy staggered missile

The missile is a good follow up after stagger, the special missiles one is an insta stagger per missile, so yea play range. A good combo would be zooka > special missile > beam > missile launcher. your missile launcher has really fast reload speed, it's your best weapon, even in ground or space, it tracks, and the damage is really good.
