People like you waste my time the most. The channel has many views, numerous positive ratings. But you obviously can't stand the fact that other people like something that goes against your grain. So you have to throw your unqualified, unimportant, uninteresting opinion into the crowd and tell other people how bad something is. Do it better! Or listen to a different audiobook version of the "Ghost Patrol" story if there are so many better ones here. If you can't do that, and I know you can't, then leave people alone who have at least a little something to offer the world.

Maybe the voice is not perfect, but doing it as a human would take lots of hours. You must consider, that not many old books, authors, stories,,,, won´t have enough traffic to get paid for the own work. Even if ithe quality is on highest level. For me this is the only chance to give people access to literature, that would be probably forgotten. OK, there are some classics like Poe or Kafka here in the channel as well. But where else can you find the "Ghost Patrol" oder "The Willow Walk" from Sinclair Lewis? Or a lot of other authors here in the channel? What I do is better than doing nothing. And by the way: I like the voice. I chose it, cause I really like his constant way of reading. People who need audiobooks for sleeping love it even more.

Look at the views and there are a lot of thumbs up for my videos. Some people like exactly that style of reading. Especially those, who listen to books for better sleeping. Read the book, if you have time for it, but some people listen to my stuff while driving cars or sitting in their home office cause their lifestyle doesn´t allow to read books. Make a living and having a family requires a lot of capacity. And audiobooks like this allow to at least have a bit of time for ourselves.

Yes, this problem is often metioned here, that it's an AI voice that doesn't read like a human author. But there are also many who like exactly that. A matter-of-fact tone, without drama and the attempt to sound as captivating as possible. There are several of thumbs up for that. I understand that it doesn't suit everyone's taste, but to call it disrespectful is also unfair, because there are listeners who want exactly that.

That's actually an AI voice reading it. But I think the voice itself is good. What's more, that's exactly what I don't like about audiobooks, that such a theatrical narrator tries to emphasize things and present them in his own way. I'm more the sober type and want the information to be as factual and unadulterated as possible, so that I can make up my own emotions about it. Of course, you have to make some compromises and not everyone likes that perfectly. But there are also some people who like exactly that. It's a matter of taste. Of course, I would prefer to have an optimal solution that suits the listeners even better. Perhaps the day will come when this is possible. Nevertheless, thank you very much for the feedback.

Am liebsten würde ich alle meine Bücher gerne so hören. Aber ich verstehe völlig, dass das nicht jedem sein Ding ist.

Das ist tatsächlich eine KI Stimme, die das liest. Aber ich finde die Stimme an sich ist gut. Zudem mag ich bei Hörbüchern genau das nicht, dass so ein theatralischer Sprecher versucht da Dinge zu betonen und auf seine Art der Interpretation vorzutragen. Ich bin da mehr der nüchterne Typ und möchte die Infos möglichst sachlich, unverfälscht und so, dass ich mir meine eigenen Emotionen dazu zusammendichten kann. Natürlich muss man da Abstriche machen und nicht jedem gefällt das optimal. Aber es gibt eben auch manche, die genau das gut finden. Ist Geschmackssache. Klar, mir wäre am liebsten, wenn man eine optimale Lösung hätte, die den Hörern noch mehr entgegenkommt. Vielleicht kommt der Tag, wo das möglich ist. Dennoch danke vielmals für das Feedback. Ich freue mich immer über Infos darüber, was ich besser machen kann. Dieses Problem wird jedoch nicht ganz so schnell lösbar sein.

Ok, das respektiere ich, mag aber selber lieber Vorträge mit Betonung. Dennoch nüchtern betrachtet stimmt etwas mit den Sätzen nicht. Öfter hat die KI nicht erfasst wie die Sätze richtig zusammen gehören. Für mich hört sich das dann komisch an.als ob es stolpert oder so. Vielleicht könnt ihr ja daran noch etwas ändern wenn die KI noch weiter dazu lernen kann? Ich habe die Geschichte dann also doch zu Ende gehört, war dann zu neugierig wie sie endet. @@martinahormann7069 Vielen, vielen Dank für das Feedback. Das wäre natürlich super, wenn Du eine Stelle nennen könntest. Die KI liest nur exakt das vor, was da steht. Manche Wörter betont sie falsch, das kann man leider nicht verhindern. Denn die besten Tools gibt es leider doch nur für den englischen Sprachraum. Was leider auch passiert ist, dass bei der Konvertierung zum Video kurzzeitige Verzerrungen der Stimme auftreten. Das liegt dann aber nicht am Vorlesen, sondern am Video-Konverter. Also falls du noch eine Stelle in Erinnerung hast und diese Eingrenzen kannst, dann würde ich mir das anschauen und könnte eventuell für andere Hörbücher Verbesserungen vornehmen, wenn dahinter eine Art Systematik steckt.

Nee, sorry, aber noch ganz viel zwischen übertriebener Theatralik und einer besseren Bandansage. Stimmlich mag das ja noch aufgehen. Aber jeder Satz der für sich vorgelesen wird, als würde er nicht in ein Gesamtbild passen… Naja, Bahnhofsansage, die du dir ja schon schöngeredet hast.

AI has its weaknesses. But I like the voice and the constant reading. I´ve listened to so many Audiooks and many readers totally exaggerate and talk so theatrically that it makes me vomit. I prefer an even voice, the same tempo and consistency. I then make the content of the books accessible to myself and prefer to involve my emotions where and how I see fit.

True, this is a typical kafka story. the people are behaving strangely and morbidly. They seem to be helpless and supposedly unable to defend themselves against fate. Yes, some of his stories aren't exactly for the refined mind. He feels like there is no other choice and has to decide what is more "important". The doctor thinks like a typical, obedient civil servant at the time: "I'm a doctor, so I have to see the patient, no matter what else is going on around me." Not a nice trait.
