Moving To NYC With Lauren Alexa Casey
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ธ.ค. 2014
I created this channel to help people create the life they always wanted in NYC.
Text MOVE to (646) 736-4558 with ANY questions on moving to NYC.
When I was in my 20's I moved to Manhattan from Connecticut to try and "make it" in the city.
I know how hard it is to make that leap and leave a small suburban town to go after your dream life here.
NYC can be a lonely place.
I just want to make it a little less lonely for all of you by being your go-to resource while building a community as well.
Also I am a real estate agent here in NYC!
Just in case you happen to be interested in buying, selling or investing here you can check out all my FREE resources using the links below.

Dude take off that hat. You look ridiculous. And stop purposely cracking your voice line that, it's ridiculous. You reek of trying to be trendy and fit in desperation. Liberals are such losers.
where is there a townhome in battery park??? ive been on literally every single block and i dont remember ever seeing one
Love the loft style homes of Williamsburg ❤
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible content you create. Your videos are not only entertaining but also deeply inspiring. You consistently provide valuable insights and motivation, helping many of us to strive for our best. Keep up the fantastic work!
Moving to FiDi in a few months 😭😍 I’m so excited ❤

I'm sick and tired of people like you.....moving to NYC and making idiotic moments. Alphabet City is its own neighborhood. It's not part of any other. Hence, the name Alphabet City.
Living in Jersey City means no NYC local tax.
Every second outside of NYC is a waste of time...
It was simpler back when I was a teenager, meeting kids and connecting effortlessly. Now, as an adult, navigating these social dynamics feels daunting-trying to reach out to someone across the city. Why is it always on me to make the first move? Shouldn't it be fair for others to approach me too?
Thanks for this video! I've been looking at downtown and journal square. So many new apartment buildings over the last 5 years that if you go on google street view, you won't even see images of the new buildings. It's growing faster than google maps can keep up with lol
Whether it's worth it or not is subjective to one's own situation. It was worth it to me because I had it easier than most, in saying that, it wasn't always easy. It wouldn't be worth it to me to live in NYC today, not with the outrageous prices for rent. I left in 2007. It was expensive then too but nothing compared to today. I would say it would only be worth it for those with incomes that support the move. If you are in a line of work where you can make more money living in NYC than anywhere else then I'd say it's worth it, but if you can live better with the same income elsewhere I'd say that it's not, but there are things about NYC that are unique so it's a really hard call.
I lived in NYC for five years. I really didn't socialize while living there but I met a really cool interior designer friend at work who I really liked. The way I made some really good friends in southern California was going to poetry readings. They latched onto me:-) I met the most interesting, artsy, and exciting people there which threw me into a ten year friendship of non-stop entertainment and fun....until I moved to NYC. lol But I didn't even try to make friends there. I'm sure that I could have but I was busy with other pursuits:-)
Good advice.
Nice to know that the best things in life are free:-)
Interesting!
You provided some great tips that many people wouldn't have thought of:-)
I'd recommend dubbing your content to other languages, esp. Spanish and Chinese, for more views :)
What is Hudson square?
In the old days it was just referred to as downtown
agree with you, i have lived in brooklyn, new york my whole life.
Looking to move here out of college and this video is so so helpful, thank you!
Your video quality is very nice and attractive but not doing SEO properly will not increase your video views, if you post videos with SEO then your video views will be much higher.
I hid something dangerous in your Hudson yards, rich lady 🤭
I do dislike that non-residents bring their dogs here.
Carry a portable escooter that has some range, use the green ways on the far west or east side unless you're already comfortable with a specific route . Scooter tires are generally tiny so a bumpy road is uncomfortable even with good suspension
Fascinating content 😂
I hate it when the company tries to hook people they offer affordable prices and when they make it then they jack up prices and ruin the whole business!
Say tribeca one more time
That fake voice is insane. 😮 Do u girls practice this whiney voice cuz ur all doing it.
This is what you need to know before running away from your NYC apartment...crime city. no work commercial collapse and all fook

100s of billions to Israel and Ukraine. what do their leaders have in common? six pointed starts are extracting billions of dollars of American wealth and it MUST END!

Great vid. Looking to move to Dumbo from Chicago soon! I’m a Soho House member too and Dumbo House is such a vibe!
You should do a vid with tomdnyc
Nice vid
If you surveyed NYCers about how important waterfront proximity is, I'm guessing the percentage would be lower than you think. To those who say it does matter, then ask them how often they actually walk the waterfront -- probably lower than you think. I unsubscribed from your channel because this topic got really tiresome.
Views of dusgusting ppl
NYC, you pay me I won’t even visit
You transplants ruined the culture and vibe of Brooklyn. It’s just as expensive as Manhattan because of you yuppies. Move to Hudson yards and leave bkny alone
Jersey city sucks it's depressing honestly
Why
something is off with the audio
Oooh so soho and tribeca it all sounds terrifying, full of spoiled brats and pumpkin spice thots and hipsters, no thanks
Not a lot of people can choose what neighborhood they live in 😂😂😂, it depends on the money you have
