Extreme Motorhome Transformation 2024 | Campervan Build
I purchased a 2019 Renault Master 2.2 diesel and a 2-berth caravan. I compiled both together to create a motorhome. It now has a shower, toilet, dining area that converts into a bedroom. Everything is self-sufficient and all 12V, including the immersion for the hot water. The discharge from toilet, showers and sinks is stored in a large self sustained tank underneath the body and is emptied in an environmentally friendly manner. Most of the interiors were removed and refurbished and the outside of the caravan was sheeted with 4mm PVC sheets. My wife and I completed the entire project ourselves, from start to finish. The motorhome complies with all safety regulations.
We are looking forward to touring all around Ireland and even Europe over the next few years. We have been on multiple successful trips already with zero problems and the motorhome drives and feels like it's brand new. It has been a really fulfilling project that we are very proud of, and have learned so much along the way. This DIY project meant that we could avoid the high retail costs of buying one ready-made. As well as this, I know this motorhome so well inside out now, that I can be confident to make any amendments necessary in the future that are required.

Full house renovation - from derelict to high-standard finish. House is situated in Tuam, Co. Galway and work was carried out in 2022. Gary that song touch my heart, I'm an Irish citizen born to a young couple who came to this country with dreams the us, but alcohol and addiction got a hold of my dad and he thought that my mom and his three kids were better off without him and he took his life. I'm 54 now and just buried his love , my mom and now I don't know what to do. I've been living on a twelve year old mentality that got stuck. I got my Irish citizenship because I've never felt inside as I do as when I'm in my parents home. Thank you I think God wanted me to just vent but point out that I would be dead if I wasn't Irish and it wasn't for God I wouldn't have made it, if you're struggling, count on that voice inside you and ask it for help, I call the spirit in me Jesus 🙏
Hi Kevin, Firstly sorry to hear about your dads addiction and loss and now the loss of your Mom, this must be very difficult to deal with, but what I can tell you is we are born into this world to make a change make a difference do things differently, most families carry crosses. Some of the crosses for some families are heavier than others. If you are doing things differently than your dad done, I’m sure he is looking down now and will be proud of you. 🙏Maybe you can be the person that he would love to have been. Push hard breakdown boundary walls and make a difference. As I say, every family carries its own cross. Sometimes an addiction can be a painkiller. Nobody knows what anybody is going through sometimes alcohol and drugs heal the pain. We all do things differently mine is work, others play golf and read books or even go fishing, maybe they right and I’m wrong, who knows. Doesn’t matter what you do or who you are, we are all trying to do our best while we get through this life. Keep the faith my friend and never give up, remember in Ireland we had our struggles for hundreds of years, we worked extremely hard to build a better life, or as you’ll know we are known globally for construction, Hope my words mean sense and are gentle. Done 80% of the work myself, probably made a saving of €200k I’d say,

The best advice I will give you and this is coming from 30 years experience, get 3 quotations and the person that you decide to give the work to make sure you go and look at the previous one or two jobs that they have done and speak to the homeowners, a lot of people make the mistake of not doing this and ends up to be a huge problem for you, believe it or believe it Not there is still a lot of cowboys out there. I did this for many years and never advertised for work once , my last job was the application form for my upcoming job, hope my reply reads well and is understandable. At the end of the day it’s your money just make sure you spend it wisely and trust the person to carry out the work, do your background searches before saying go ahead☘️🇮🇪

Nothing extreme here just proper rebuild to a very high standard. Just needs a Guinness pump in the kitchen for when it’s too late to get down the boozer.

Some job turned out well!
In France, it is now compulsory to include a chimney flue in all new houses being build, ready for installation of a wood burning stove in case of necessity.
They are taking chimneys out here in Ireland,it’s insane.

i hate to see chimneys removed on old buildings, the outside looks much better with the original chimneys than it does without them, i only have one double flue chimney on my house, but it needs knocked down past roof level & rebuilt with 2 old tall chimney pots put back on, to me it prevents the building looking like a drab square box.

Corrugated sheeting, no maintenance,and was able to complete the whole structure of the roof within two days myself!

It was super cool to watch this. The house is exactly like the one I grew up in in Wexford. The only thing I'd have liked to see was a traditional slate roof but that is very expensive. Lovely that you brought this old farmhouse back to life. ❤❤ from France.
