A great informative video, Keith. Thanks for putting the time in researching and posting it. The Berkshires were my favorite, the 726 and 736, which I have one of each. Interesting to see the various cabooses that were included in the sets. I would agree that Lionel did have an extensive collection of rolling stock.

I like your layout and pristine prewar trains ! The 224,225 ,226 and Hudson locos are in excellent condition !!

Nice Postwar freight train Keith.

That is a beautiful premium engine. Are not passenger car engine with larger diameter drive wheels while freight locomotives smaller diameter? Pure engineering yield the smaller diameter delivers greater torque. While larger diameter greater speed. I could be all wet on applications.😊😊 There is no comparison to pre and post war Lionel, absolutely the best ever. I love your presentations, one of the best on line.

I am also a fan of the Menards items. They are increasingly getting better and you can’t beat the price. I agree with you regarding the graphics!👍👍🔥 I also just purchased two NS heritage units from Williams by Bachman. They are strong pullers. They obviously aren’t high end Legacy engines, but I feel they beat the Lionel Lion Chief engines because of their pulling power and construction!

A fascinating trip through a period when Lionel may have cheapened the line but never stood still, it would have been much simpler to produce the same set for all the years.
