Thanks, didn't notice that.
great to be part of it, check out my channel for a rider pov
Brilliant 👍
You should do more of a lengthy video on this line and follow it mate. Would be a great watch. The area near stanwick was repurposed as a footpath but some of the great bridges are still there too
Nice video! A return visit to view the Thor missile site would be a great follow up. They were here from 1959 until 1963, Douglas in America made them and the RAF manned them under US supervision. They could have been used if the Cuban crisis had developed, as well as Vulcan & Victor V Bombers
It's a lot quieter than I have seen Portmeirion before, much more crowded with tourists. The queen was rather an odd bod, hard to imagine her being kept in the Village for her secrets. Why the character called Rook, not a number, had a nervous breakdown playing outdoor chess as a chess piece, I don't understand. Mini Mokes not golf carts. The show was quite strange for the 60s, but quite staid today. The statuary, paintings, decorations can be a bit strange. No 2 house was called the Green Dome. Honestly Portmeirion reminds me of a Hollywood Western town, where all the buildings in the one main street are facades except the saloon. The meteorological balloon, Rover, sort of screamed as it moved along. The trapeline game Kosho was definitely wierd.
That used to be a quality fishing lake about 15yrs ago until it was emptied and the decking/walkway got smashed up.
Thank you. I'm from Canada but my roots (Manning/Balderson) are in Spratton. It's wonderful to see the area they lived in

I grew up very close to the pub and spent many many hours in there with my Mum who worked there and was also friends with the families who lived there. My father rented an old garage which was literally on the corner near where you say the gallows were and the Nun sighting. I’ve never seen the nun.. we were always told that it was a hospital during the Naseby battle and that the ghost of a grey lady, a nurse, haunts the pub after her love, a soldier, was returned and laid on the lawn outside to die as he could not be saved. She apparently ended her own life from a broken heart and roams the building. I can most definitely remember many strange going’s on and feelings in that pub. Especially in the cellar (near the old archway that was filled in many years ago) also, what was the lounge at the time (north side - the 2nd window up near bus stop to npton) and the walkway all the way along that floor) the stair going up to the third floor 😮 many odd feelings there and even more on the third floor, in the room directly above the one I previously mentioned) where apparently, an old landlady had set a gun to the door catch and died 😢) very odd cold feelings in there. I do remember the old jukebox switching on randomly one morning whilst Mum was cleaning (it wasn’t even switched on) and played, Please release my by Englebert Humpadink! 😂😮 I’m sure there’s plenty of similar stories from locals and previous occupants x
Wow thank you for all that information, truly amazing area.
