Hi Anusha, both courses can't let you practice as you need RCI license from a fulltime MPhil or PhD. However the study will help in lot of arenas in life including coaching as I am into it myself. However we cannot call ourselves therapist due to legal boundaries of RCI license.

Hello! First thing you need is the interest to study human behavior, human mind. If you look at this course just like a degree, you will get exhausted. Furthermore, if it can be applied in your existing field and give you some benefit, then sure! Else, you can also use it tomorrow for studying your student's emotional health, etc.

It's a distance course so it's definitely having limitations to job applications. Many govt org may not allow. If you are planning for a full time career in Psychology, recommended to opt for a Full-time course

Yes Sure Susmita, There are 2 batches of IGNOU 1 admission starts in May-June , 1 starts in Nov-Dec. You can choose your comfortable session. Both are fine. Practicals will be 6 or 7 in total. They will divide into 3 and 4 practicals, conducted in 2 days. Those 2 days you will have to manage using leaves in office. Also for exams - mostly they are arranged including weekends. For internship - you can join somewhere nearby and complete after work hours, it will be an intensive 28 days internship - 2 hours everyday (according whichever organization you join for internship). Hello Shobha, thanks for highlighting! it's okay to go wrong in calculations while explaining basics to students. The main focus of your area is the formula and the understanding to solve the problem. Even if your maths is next to perfect, one can lose full marks on the problem if your logic is incorrect. Also there is no time in exam if logic is forgotten. And about calculations, that you can always do it perfectly.

@@kpopworld4759 Ignou course is a pastime course, not a fulltime like college MA. Also pursuing courses in IT can be done through online courses like - Mobile applications, Data Science, Data Analytics. Every aspect in IT matches with every other field. For example in Psychology - if you want to create apps/websites for your audience related to mental health, you need help of IT field. Or finance/stock related websites/apps - you need help of IT...and so on. Hence, to add strength to your field, you can definitely pursue IT courses.

@@kpopworld4759 I have a full time IT career with fulltime degrees. Not online courses. Psychology can be done online, however you need to further do an MPhil or PhD to practice. You cannot depend on online courses for Jobs. You can keep them for learning purpose, and if you wish to become a Coach or as an add-on. One cannot skip a fulltime degree for an online course. You need to first study the job market in your field and accordingly take a decision.

There are different formulae given online for different curriculum. You have to use IGNOU Mapc formula ONLY. The marks will shall be allocated based on the mapc curriculum only.
