This was a great video! Where are you??? Don't give up. Please keep uploading. I pray all is well with you and your family.
I don't know if you'll see this as this video is a few years old, but save some stress on your hands by cutting open the caulking tube, scraping it into a seal tight jar, and it'll be good, no drying out.
That’s a terrific idea, thanks. :)
Super instructions
Thank you
Hola,me gustaría saber si sobre esos moldes se podrían hacer otros nuevos con silicona para moldes, tipo como los originales. Muchas gracias por compartirlo.🫂🤩🇪🇦
Hi & thank you for making this video! Have you ever tried applying a pretty colored mica powder to your mold before smooshing in that caulk? Some of the chameleon powders work best with black background and caulks also come in black. Just a thought. Maybe after its out it could be spray painted clear gloss to seal in the color. Also, have you considered using a food dehydrator for the deeper molds that don't get air down deep enough to cure the caulk? That might be a possibility. I'll be on the lookout to see if you do another vid experimenting. Thank you for your creativity! 🌸 🌻
I have not but I bet it would be pretty, just treat this like most paste when adding color before applying to moulds. TFW :)
I love that they are flexible so you can add them to curved objects. But do they ever dry hard on the finished project? Like if you're adding them to picture frame or a jar? Will Mod Podge or Acrylic sealer harden them? Love the lace!
They do not hardened. The material is fully cured and other than the lace is only slightly flexible. With the right adhesive they should stay where you put them, also because they are smooth on the back, scuff them a little for better adhesive grip.
I’m not into paper crafting, but I subbed to your channel and wanted to comment, this was so good. I wish more tutorials were like this.
@@MissMolly3377 thanks so much :)
What an awesome job. Congratulations and thank you.
Thank you! :)
Looks like fun 😊 Great tutorial dear. Loved them all, but those doilies are BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤❤❤
brilliant tutorial thankyou so much
@@suzelleambrose1060 thanks :)
This video us fantastic! I subscribed immediately! Are you still posting new videos? So helpful. Best tutkria5l i have watched on TH-cam!
Super glue is good also
The caulk says it has a 20 minute dry time, why do we need to wait 24 hours?
So it doesn’t stick into the molds and most molds will be way thicker than than if you are using caulk to seal something. That drying time is for a very thin smeared layer sticking to a seam rather than something you are trying to keep intact and remove. I hope this helps. TFW - Misty
The molds are cute! I just wanted to share with all the artsy fartsy people that you can also make your own molds out of of the 100% silicone caulking combined with Naptha or mineral spirits. I learned this years ago from another YT’er. His channel is still up. Rather than try to explain the process; you can look up GeoSubstainable on mold making. I had a very cute rubber door mat that had some wicked looking scrolls with a Harley Emblem. Once I made the mold I filled it with QuickCretee. I know have cool stepping pads that lead out to our workshop. I did have to build a cardboard box to fit around the rubber door mat as I wanted my stepping stones to be 6” thick. I thought I’d share as sometimes we have an item we really like and would like to replicate it in whatever material. I’ve actually used Dawn soap as a release agent and have used bondo to fill molds. It has a 10 minute working time so I mix small batches.
Oh wow, great idea. Thanks for sharing, will check out his channel. You do some serious molding, but I bet they are pretty. TFW Misty
I was going to subscribe but it seems you have left the channel?
I haven’t, just moved and have some medical issues to deal with but do plan to come back next year. Tfw
WOW! The best video I’ve ever seen on YT, not just on this subject but OVERALL! Detailed & to the point, many helpful tips, every question I may have had was answered, held my attention through out, no extraneous chitchat, simply superb! THANK YOU!! ❤
Thank you for such a wonderful comment. Hope you give it a try and have fun. TFW Misty
Where the palm tree didn't come out clean how do you clean mould?
I used an old toothbrush to clean in the nooks and crannies of anything that was left behind, you do not need water, just dry brushing. Hope this helps. TFW :)
The small tabs are perfect for book divisions in a Bible. Thanks for sharing.
Can you use caulk on a resin heating pad or dryer? I enjoy your videos and like all comments how you explain. This is a tutorial. Thank you.
I’m not sure how it would react to continuous heat
I love it!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Great!!! A brilliant idea!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for your video!!! I've had my moulds for so long and have never been able to get to grips with them. But with your tips it will work!! I'm so happy!!! People often think so complicated, but you just need a little more patience and good, but also practical ideas. I've been looking for good tips for ages and now I've finally found them!!!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!! Greetings from Vienna, Austria (Europe)!!
Glad I could help! Have fun with your moulds :)
So easy! Thank you!
Awesome instructions. Love it.
the plastic tools are palette knives
I love you for this!! LOL Thank you.
Excellent video. Will try this today.
Hello I am a painting contractor and we use caulk all the time and this exact kind you don’t really need to cover the caulk once it’s open it will dry a little mostly just what is in the top of the tube where it comes out but the rest of the caulk in the bottom will be fine 😊 I would recommend a caulk gun tho because once your caulk get lower in there you will have a hard time getting it out plus a caulk gun has a small sharp bayonet to poke through the top when the caulk dries at the top so it kinda dries at the top and seals it self off so the rest of the caulk at the bottom is good 👍 just wanted to let you know
Great idea. Thank you.
You are an excellent teacher. Your directions are clear, precise and easy to understand. It appears as though the rule is slow and careful with a lot of patience. Again, thank you for teaching me a new craft.
Glad it was helpful! :)
What type of glue we can use to stick them onto furniture?
Excellent video ❤
Corn starch powder
I have dealt with Aliexpress and my advice.............don't
I thought to get the caulk out you would need the metal gun. But it looks like you didn't use one.
Just found this video! Have you tried using a heat gun to dry them quicker? Just wondering if that might work.
Great tutorial! ❤ Thank you!
Great tutorial! I have never seen these lace molds. Very fascinating. What do you use them on?
Great information thank you for sharing. You’re a wonderful teacher. 🙂
To save a buck on molds, try 3:50 Temu. Lots of choices there as well.
I have discovered silicon molds and using them in my craft projects. I learned quite a bit from this tutorial. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Help please? I can not seem to make any moulds without it being distorted. I can make the lace moulds they come out so beautiful. The moulds of birds, deers, or flowers keep coming out distorted. They look like they have chucks cut out of them and the faces are unrecognized. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
It sounds like you need to put more material and really push it in, push then scrap, then add more and repeat. You would be surprised how much can fit into the deeper moulds. Also make sure you give it several days to dry cause if not it can distort slightly too when pulling out.
:(
So sorry for your loss😢. He was a monster.
You sure know how to good stuff like this, love it especially the colour part
Thank you so much 😀
