    Watch this only to replace the switch. The rest is incorrect. First, he put the top insides back together wrong. The top black holder is upside down in this video. Second, all you actually need to do is turn the bottom steel band around 180° (don't flip over). This brings back the strength so the signal turns off after a turn. Color on electrical connections or fuses is not dirt, it's normal from the heat. If you do clean the connection on the bottom mother board, don't use foil! 🤦‍♀️ Use electrical cleaner or rubbing alcohol!

  • @bowalker3319
    @bowalker3319 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm trying to start a Snoball business (basically shaved ice, different machine tho) and properly tempered ice is KEY to perfect 'snow.' I bought a used unit like this for making/storing the blocks and a small used Dippin Dots freezer for on site storage. I cleaned the big one up really good but it would only pull down to between 35-40 degrees. (maybe I didn't run it long enough). But I need a target temp of between 0 and 20 with 10 degrees being the idea temp. I failed to even look at the evap coils since the fans were running. Great info on the run and defrost times as well as the temperature range that this box cools to. Short of being low on Freon maybe, all other components seem to be working. You said that in auto defrost mode the amps should be around 3.5-4.0, right? The little dippin dots chest works great but I don't need sub zero temps. Is there a way I can regulate that? It's an older model without any adjustment arrows on the digital display. By upgrading the display (Weiss Instruments) and simply changing the temperature setting to the desire temp, will that do it? Or is there something I can do with it just the way it is? Great video man, I've watched these long drawn out vids that are way over my head. Yours was perfect for what I needed. Short, precise and informative. Thanks!

    • @nixcoolfix
      @nixcoolfix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you may have a cooler at that temp. You can turn that 34⁰ cooler into your 0⁰ freezer by changing the stat and adding a defrost system if the equipment can pull down. (If it is a freezer, you have a problem). Hope this helps!

    • @nixcoolfix
      @nixcoolfix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There can be many reasons: 1) compressor not running 2) no refrigerant 3) bad capacitor 4) burnt wire 5) defrost timer is bad. Thanks for watching, I hope that helps!

    • @nixcoolfix
      @nixcoolfix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's not much difference between 6.9 and 7.5. The oil filter will contain some residual. And you can offset between the "max" and "min" on the oil stick when you fill. There is no exact number.
