You can probably beat the goomba king as you are in this episode but you have to block most the attacks and plan out the fight before you go in.

Power Bounce is actually broken as hell in the original game. The nerf makes it just alright in this one. People usually buff themselves up before they use it to do a billion damage. You can still kind of do that, it's just not as strong.
