It makes me laugh when people start doing shouts in the chat like "whoever designed this leap should be t*rtured* or "I'm a Lalafel, I can't see my character help" haha

I started playing 2 months ago, I had about 200k at one point but it quickly vanishes (am still on ARR, close to starting HW though which I look forwards too)

@@bkw9530 Ahaha, good luck! Yeah, I guess I'm always extremely conservative with gil, so I had over 2M by the end of HW without selling any of the MSQ gear. Mostly just from running "Adventurer in Need" DRs. Past level 60, you get like 10k gil per levelling DR, so it adds up quickly, and I love trying different jobs, so...

You're joking right? With Sony's basic sharefactory app, seeing one screen freeze for ages and the other play smoothly is all someone needs to see.

I can't confirm if this was patched in the HD version on more modern consoles/PC, but other than being in that position, I'd always be holding the x butting to swing the maul. So the moment after I let go of X to swing it, I'm immediately holding it down again for the next charged up swing. But other than that apologies, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Have you tried always holding x other than the moment you release it to swing the maul at the boss? I'm not sure if this causes the i frames

it does and im pretty sure only on pc, plus use the katana , very powerful and its faster

You want to try getting to the boss with some ammo left, and could fight it with guns and then running or strafing to avoid the fire. But on hard it's very difficult to have enough ammo for that, so this glitch seems to really help (plus avoid the fire attack). If you can align yourself near the bosses forearm and then what I did was just keep pressing x button to swing so there's no pause between hits, or repeatedly press x before the attack animation is over (Heather will get tired). And that position + always pressing x to hit seemed to create some i-frames or invincibility 90% of the time. I wish you luck

@@Whotfisandyyy have you try to play Silent Hill HD Collection? After this gameplay I saw another one from a Channel called WeissNetwork TV and in this point he hit the boss with the same glitch.

@@kobalelizabeth that's no problem, your English is good. I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get it to work, other than standing in that position and always having the X button pressed and held (constantly for each weapon swing - only letting go of X and re-pressing it after Heather starts the animation) I'm not sure what made it work. It should also work on PC as that was released in 2003, without this it's a ridiculously brutal boss to try and melee on hard

It's possible it was patched in the HD version, I haven't played that version of the game.

Apologies for getting back to you late. I always aimed to stand close to the invisible wall but in front of your arm and tried to align with the forearm/wrist. But also was constantly swinging with the maul (holding x again as soon as each swing connected) I don't know if constantly attacking helped by created i-frames.

On pc you have luck ilon the other side

Hi there, sorry for the slow response, the official server I was on has vanished and I don't know what happened to it even after asking on Funcom's forum. With bases the performance was good even with a lot of thralls and animals, I tried to minimize torches, but having a 3 high perimeter wall of foundations still caused stutter at times. I had to remove one of the foundation made walls and use just walls and ceiling pieces instead. This eliminated lag with the SSD in my base. I think whether HDD or SSD, foundations really mess up frames on official servers.

Sorry for the slow response, I positioned myself pretty close to the back of the arena just in front of the arm, and always aimed to be in line with the wrist/forearm. I don't know if repeatedly swinging the maul; even when Heather's out of breath helped, maybe with i-frames?
