It could be better, you're right. It was early days. Thanks for the feedback.
Not helping mate
The FE2 has an insane shutter speed of 1/4000th of a second, so you can shoot more wide open on the lens in harsh daylight. Thats why I want it.
@jerrysoh619 Indeed, it does! It's fantastic. I hope you find one in good condition - keep searching.
I wish I would have bought this camera 3 years ago :( the price lately has gone out of control.
@jerrysoh619 Keep searching, check camera shops. I saw a similar Nikon for less than $200 last week.
Thank you for sharing! That FE2 will be fun to use. Film has that certain......isness that is delightful. And your photos are all well thought out too. Nice work.
@@jn1982 Thanks very much for the compliment! It's not easy, but it was a lot of fun!
Hello, the mirror lockup issue is actually due to the battery being dead. The shutter on the FE2 is electronic, meaning that you need power for it to work. 357 watch battery is what it takes. I would suggest the foam as the other commenter mentioned. It’s a $15 foam kit on Amazon and 10 mins of work. This is an excellent camera paired with Nikkor glass. Have fun!
@DeeB1345 Thank you for the advice. I'll look into it. Hopefully there's a video demonstration on TH-cam University. It is great! My first set of pictures turned out better than I hoped.
The mirror locks because the mirrorfoam is gone. Probably the doorsealant as well....
@@matshagonius6022 Peehaps, but it works perfectly fine now. Thanks

Do you mean it's not working after you replaced it?

from what i have read this week, they will sell you a camera or lens but after you buy online they will call the next day and say you bought the international version and the us version is several hundred dollars more. I'm tempted to say ok, just send me the international version! hahah!! the camera im looking at is 500$ less brand new, than reputable sellers. you can read, and see video reviews of this company, fyi!!
@funkyboogiee That is awful. I read that recently, too. Thanks. There are lots of good deals out there, but this is not it! Take care.
Are there german commentators?

@@MPRO_-kh2qn unfortunately not.
In case it is helpful to others watching this video, the regulator that is being worked on has nothing in it but a few contacts. If you look closer inside the regulator you will see when they touch as you turn the knob. I have a similar Samsung oven using a similar regulator. I cleaned the contacts with a nail file and added a dot of dielectric grease (found at any hardware store) to fix the issue. The grease will stop the contacts from sticking and will help prolong the life of the regulator for a while but since the special coating on the surface of the contact had burnt, this will be more than likely a short term fix. Any other issue will be in the circuit board not the regulator.
@@mehdizahedi4907 Thanks for this!
how do i get a jacuzzi tub
I have started collecting vintage lenses a while ago... super fun! :) About the extension tubes, yes, they work, but the plain adapter is just moving the lens as far away from the sensor as it would have been from the film on a 35mm camera body. You would have to add additional extension tubes to get macro shots. But there are also so-called "helicoid" adapters that can extend the distance with the turn of a control ring on the adapter... I have one for m42 to e mount and it works perfectly, not just for macro, but also to get better regular close-up shots...
@@TheCruisinCrew Thank you for your thoughtful response. I've never heard of helicoid adapters. There's so much to learn and it is a lot of fun.
Good video thanks
@@mossybank2000 You're welcome. I'd glad you enjoyed it.
I love my 24-70 it’s my man lens on my A7r4a.
@Jnewtonwright Awesome! That is encouraging to hear. I'm very excited to use it.
I use an 80 year old lens, adapted to a Sony A7Rii for digitising film. 😁
@@kevin-parratt-artist Wonderful. What was your experience like?
How thick is it with the ipad in it? Thanks in advance!
Almost 1 inch think.
I think I'm right in saying that If you want to use extension tubes with the Nikon FE2 still maintain the ability to use the in-camera light meter you have to find ones that index correctly with the aperture ring on the lens. Nikon PK11 PK12 and PK13 are 8mm 14mm and 27.5mm extension respectively, but there are also others other brands out there that you can find pretty cheap on ebay etc. I have a couple of the Nikon ones and a set of Vivitar ones that all do the same job (Vivitar AT-3/AI)
@vyrnmn Thanks for this useful information. As soon as I get used to taking pictures with the FE2, I might look into that.
Nice work but that lion seemed unhappy. LoL~
@ceewood1354 Thanks. I noticed that too. 🥺 I'm on the fence about zoos. Thanks for watching!
Nikkor AI, AIS lenses, and even Pre-Ai have well known reputation of producing beautiful images with a lot of character and "cinematic" feeling, keep collecting those, you won't regret it. Nice find!
I didn't think I would enjoy a manual lens so much, but from the moment I got it, I see the appeal of a well built lens. I'm excited to use the film camera. I just got the film and battery! Thanks for watching.
It is fun to go back to manual aperture/focus sometimes. I don’t ignore the benefits of autofocus/autoexposure though! Thanks for a cool video

hey man. I really want to get into photography but dont want to spend like 600-800 bucks on a camera. I currently have a old sony dsc- h300 and want to upgrade to something better. What should i get?
@benski1945 I love Sony and would recommend KEH for used cameras. Here's a A6300 with a kit lens for less than $700 on B&H. Sony Alpha a6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens (Black) www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/803063955-USE/sony_ilce6300l_b_alpha_a6300_mirrorless_digital.html You could always get a point and shoot, but I think you should at least get an interchange lens camera. Be careful of gear acquisition syndrome! 😀
Very nice you must be happy, I'll be sticking with my sony 1.8 50mm :( hahah
@SoulEater090 I'm happy for sure! New old old lens, as long as they are good quality. What do you think of the 1.8?
@@AWAShowme yes that's the perfect way to describe it. I love the picture quality but the lens is quite large for a 50mm and the auto focus is dog slow.
You mentioned, that the lens bag for the sigma is more padded, but what I Found in my bag for my 24-70 gm2 is that they did improve the bag and have thicker padding compared to the gm1
@xansuppressor Oh, cool. Both bags are great. I used the Sigma as a camera bag a couple of days ago.
does this zoom rocker works with every powerzoom lens? I still have the sony 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 powerzoom lens from years ago.

Simply connecting your phone does nothing. My ATEM Mini doesn't receive a signal. What settings/apps do you use on your phone? Is a capture device required?
Greetings. As shown in the video, I used a usb to hdmi converter. It's listed in the description. This is the same device you would use to display your phone on your TV.
@@AWAShowme ok, when you plug in the cable does a pop up appear on your phone asking to select a transfer mode? I've seen in other videos that some newer phones/OS have a "webcam" option that would effectively active the video stream via USB.

@@johnnymomascaro You're welcome! I'm glad it worked.
I never knew this existed. Nice!
I have two of these trash cans in my house, and they've worked flawlessly for seven years. Visitors sometimes think they're motion-activated, but they're not. They're activated by the presence of something near the sensor. This means you don't have to wiggle or move anything. Just hold your hand or the object one or two inches away, and the can's lid will open and close automatically. It's a smart design!
@davidlum-ny It is awesome and well built! What happened after 7 years? Did they just stop opening?
@@AWAShowme They are both alive and doing what they are supposed to do.

Hi - does the AF system mean that when you zoom the image stays in focus? Making it appear parfocal? Or does it at least adjust quickly when you zoom?
@bencra1g It quickly readjusts. I just used this at a fashion. Show as the models walked toward me, and it worked great.
Parfocal is an entirely different beast. Sony lenses are known for their fast AF but still a far cry from parfocal no matter how you put it.
I can’t hear you.
