I noticed this too. Earlier in life I was very ignorant and probably basically serving evil/rejecting God. I didn't understand why my life was a total nightmare. Total agony and ignorance, no strength or solutions.

Whom you associate with is as bad as alcohol or drugs. We have to let go of people that are divisive or dishonest, causing problems, alcohol and drugs. We harm ourselves. Yet we can always be humble and change our direction and walk towards God. Grateful to God for God's grace and presence and love for All.

However, I believe God does make his children more like Jesus over time. “For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭18‬ // so we are sinful and unworthy, but God saves those who put their trust in Jesus Christ and makes them more like Him, but even at our best we’re still unworthy. Thinking about our sin should make us love God for loving us despite of our sin, it shouldn’t make us hate ourselves, but we must remember we are not good in our own.

Yeah man its a crazy world we live in. I was playing basketball at the ymca with a group of all ages and these children were cussing up a storm competitively at each other.. the other dudes my age were perpetuating the same behavior, telling the kids theyd F their mom etc.. i felt so bad inside. Its was so bad i felt ashamed of myself for even being there. I was really feeling Gods pain. I see this stuff all the time. And the other things you mention. Amen "Find refuge in God" you just calmed my spirit at the end there and answered my comment with that. Glory to God!

Temptation everywhere, evil everywhere, kids cussing, nightlife invitations, lost people being used to irritate us, getting sleepy when we try to preach or read scripture, the world is a stage, lost people talking politics in public, everyone wants to see you as weak or delusional, were seen as a doormat cuz of our faith, random sleeplessness at night, misunderstood, no one will give us the space we desire.. but somehow i can have joy through it all thank you Jesus!

I needed this confirmation. Fitness has always been a part of my life through sports. It was a huge idol. Even after being reborn.. its like id put my walk with God on pause to go into the gym with ego, seeking attention, taking creatine and preworkout religeously, carnal music.. tanning.. God is helping me to let go. Surprisingly im in the best shape of my life by not obsessing over it and doing more outdoor activities. Hes giving me new interests. Exploring his creation and such

Brother yes words have power to them but be sure to read the Bible and rightly divide it . I got very paranoid taking one or two verses and following people making doctrines out those verses. Yes I grew up under a parent doing this stuff but once we are saved we have power over it try not to let this keep you down. One of the hardest things it is for me to accept is the demons are doing this naturally we want to hold them accountable and I feel like saying they are possessed gives them a pass around go to do these things . I’m struggling myself trying not to be paranoid over curses and witchcraft but it’s right in our face it’s. Scary time we live in Jesus is coming for us in the rapture .

I often wondered about this for myself. But an all-knowing God would really lead me down a trail to where I didn't know until I was 40 years old? I ended up in prison from 15 to 28.. it was not my fault that nobody ever taught me how to read the Bible

Yes bro. I was so careless because I really liked the attention. I was idolizing the attention of others, women included. And when I came back to the LORD. I definitely reaped what I sowed. I ended up caring what people thought about me so much. It became tormenting, that I needed God to help me. Yes, we reap what we sow, but the LORD will forgive us and help us. Amen
