This channel is dedicated to my idol, Dmitri Shostakovich
I'm a to-be electronics engineer, space explorer, physics lover (especially on areas of quantum mechanics, string theory, general relativity, particle physics and thermodynamics), a cinephile (who loves to watch obscure, disturbing, avant-garde films), pianist and composer (last two are too bad to handle)
And also a bad engraver, as certified by Hinton
I've started this, to impose my taste of music to people visiting my channel
My prime work isn't this so I post whenever I could
I believe that no one waits for it

Adagio mistero "Vagues jaillissantes sur le bord de mer sans équipage au clair de lune" (2023)
No way I'm doing this but I found this stale dish rotting in my cupboard of computer memory for a very long time. So, I felt it deserves a graveyard, for a sendoff, like me. This is the product of an amateur pianist of horrendous composing and performing skills with a terrible keyboard. So, I sampled it with a Pianoteq preset, and as there is no dynamics option, everything would be same as my boring life, and to feel, I had to sustain the pedal for very long time. I'm done enough here, so, I just sampled and posted here, no editing, nothing.
And a small request, I've never asked one, but now I'm, if you're happened to read this description, please give an opinion about this, no problem, if it is devastating, or good, so, I can self check myself with reality.
Art is by Rob Evans, and I haven't asked any permission, don't mistake me.

I don't do often but it is one of the very few goodies from my pile of shit I'm proud of, yet that bland ending was the product of my procrastination. And I'm reputed for thinking to write something and end up like something but I'm sure it is a fugue I know it will be boring at some point of time but..... well, it will be, and I suggest to bear with it And some notes will be muted as MuseSound...

This is a piano study employed with virtuous techniques like double trills, and polyrhythms (mainly pentuplets on LH) running throughout the piece, lumpy leaps.etc and maybe the last piano piece by Allgén, meaning "From C-sharp to C-flat" I think. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) And thank you subbies !! A score video maybe out soon (the word "soon" mustn't be taken a serious note) and I thank ...

One of my earlier compositions and one of the few that got a real recognition and the only one that got a performance by that guy as a gift to my birthday. Peaceful days. This is an MIDI performance as I lost it, and I'll never publish even if I had it. I preferred pink background because it is the colour that shades through my mind whenever I listen to it. I chose to post it now because I was ...

Literally I don't have any plan of doing a score video (well I had, but it got stuck for personal reason) so, to clean the trash I decided to post the best of the worst (I compose worst music) Others may arrive too, but considering my hell-deep self confidence, it may or may not show above the surface And the name I kept was a reason which was very similiar to that of Shostakovich thought as a ...

A very interesting, mystic, one movement violin concerto and one of the last compositions by Janáček, composed on 1926, but later abandoned on 1927, and he died on 1928 (sounds like chained events lol) Then it is reconstructed on 1988 by Miloš Štědroň and Leoš Faltus and its still remains unfinished. I like this more than the 3 pf. Concerti.
No way, dude; this work is great, without any doubt, but it cannot hold a candle to Rautavaara's Piano Concertos (especially the second one), not because this Fantasia is not good (it is actually a really really good composition), but because the Piano Concertos are on a whole different level
Heard this a few years back for the first time in Rochester Cathedral one Christmas eve. Been part of my Christmas ever since
Drawing notes…
I was SHOCKED that Alkan had anything more to say after that incredible Scherzo!! And of course, in the most bewildering move possible, he does a recap of the suite before going into the Barcarolle. Ahead of his time by every metric imaginable.
That second movement… not only is this just so foreign to his time, but it feels foreign to humanity. Alkan was truly one in a billion to have had these ideas hundreds of years ago.
Totally life enhancing. A wild ride and yet it makes complete sense on its own terms. How can that be when you consider the range of the invention? Kind of a miracle! A bit like the performance! It must have taken forever to learn. Even the genius that is Kevin Bowyer described it as 'nearly unplayable music'. Bravo!
Spannend und interessant. Für meinen persönlichen Geschmack ein wenig zu dick, ich mag es lieber, wenn Musik auch Transparenz aufweist. Aber dennoch: ich habe es gerne angehört.
thanks, that meant something to me

I have to play this soon as the harpist, and I‘m shaking in my shoes because of the tempo😅
I recommend the recording with Ulf Wallin...
that's what I planned, and I have even more quality material, to do a score video on wallin's but as my mental health wouldn't allow, i just left that idea

I like this work a lot. Do you think Allgen's other string quartets will ever be recorded?
As far as I concern, I don't think so, only 1st and 2nd are recorded, but 1st is a private recording, which I have, but I cannot share it, consecutive quartets are so much complex, long and tiresome to record And, a hyper obscure composer like Allgen are always left for the crowd of composers, so in short, not today
It's unique and intriguing. Breathes lots of aesthetic nuance of agony here: powerful.
Very beautifully played by both artists.
oh my gosh this is AMAZING and now i want to play this

ohh that's the way to attack C string. bravo. here's V's wiki link....sounds like a primer of my violin/viola studies, with Rode, De Beriot etc DG SD CA en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henri_Vieuxtemps
thanks, we're hearing this tonight in SD CA with faculty from SDSU along with a bunch of other little heard rep. somehow missed this in my collection of viola rep. There's an altnerate version with Zimmerman. TOO MANY MISPLACED COMMERCIALS!!!!????
I loved what I heard and I hope you decide to continue. It has the makings of a really beautiful piece. btw I am a huge fan of Shostakovich. Take care and stay well.
22:48 Awesome!
And the performances are outstanding: bringing the music to life while remaining faithful to the score. I've never come across Ms McCallum before, but I shall now be seeking her out. Thanks for posting.
A magnificent work, (Messiaen's piano masterpiece?), poorly played.
Ending not Bland but shows Admirable Restraint......BRAVO from Mexico City!
Loved what I heard, I hope you'll get in a better place and give it a full development some day.

No. 4 is particularly lovely.

Far best when sung by a children's choir (preferably a boys' choir) rather than adult sopranos.
My high school varsity treble choir does an awesome job singing the prelude for our Madrigal concert every year
Girls make a pretty much equal timbre, and also because their voices don't break can make a more mature sound while still having childlike wonder in their teens
İkimizin şarkısıydı 2 hafta oldu ben hala dinliyorum sen yüksek sesle dinleme çocukların uyanır...
Hala dinlemeye devam mı krla
Our chorale has “This Little Babe” as part of our concert next Sunday. I’m a bass and every time the ladies sing this we guys just sit back in awe. What a fabulous piece! This evening our local high school chorus is singing all of the work. Just a few hours away. Can’t wait!
My university choir performed several sections of the SATB version, but I was thrilled to hear that there was a treble version as well. Thank you for posting this score animation video. What edition is the score, though? I found the treble version score, and it listed all the parts as Treble I, Treble II, and Treble III. EDIT: I’m asking what edition the uploader used because the score in the video lists the parts as Soprano, Mezzo-soprano, and Alto instead of Treble I, Treble II, and Treble III.
The original is for trebles.
@@hickle204 Right.
Yes, in the all treble version you had the original, though the SATB version was published just a year later. Originally he was writing with children in mind.
Do you happen to have his Tripartita? That one has the same vibes as this and is just as good, if not better!
Speechless Have maestoso e spiritoso moments I love Lutoslawski music

a many thanks, but regarding my mental health, I may or may not continue, let me hope to see the silver lining one day
Kudos to Lutosławski's wife, Danuta, who was the copyist for the String Quartet and subsequent works, and who helped solve the notational challenges involved in Lutosławski's "controlled aleatoric" compositions.
Such underrated a piece of music!
