    Hey! That was a great video! Thank you! We needed to see how to get that c clip out but we actually did need to pull the axle as well and you left us hanging with "ah! Son of a ...." ours wouldn't just slide out either and we weren't sure if we needed to remove the bearing plate on the end of the axle as well or not... turns out that we just needed to use a big pry bar and ease the axle out... I'm case anyone else needs to know... just use a pry bar and gently pry the ale out and it will slide right out! Thank you!

    That suspension is taking a lot of the force, actually you can set it down on some wood so you won't have to work so hard.

    O man my spider gears blow up after the Limited slip block, sheared and went into the gears. Little chunks of gears now. And that block in between is doing the slip and slide all over the center and I have not been able to get those seat clips out yet but they are coming out. Thanks that was a good video.

    I got the block in the center out of the way by sticking my screwdriver in behind the top and pulling it. the block came away enough. had to wiggle the axle because it had play in it where the bearing had worn on it but, thank God it finally went in.

    working on my 2014 suburban right now and trying to pull both axles out, to replace the bearings and I was fixing other parts on the rear end as well. Your video is helpful, but to add to the solution for removing the clip on the driver side, I needed to do a little extra searching for other people with the same problem. Whenever I pushed in or clamped the driver side axle, I could feel it bottoming out, but upon closer inspection, I could see it was not hitting the thrust block, I think that’s what it’s called, in the center, but was being stopped by something else. there was still space or room for it to move in Ward a little bit, it just would not do it. So the answer I found from someone else, was making sure the C clip would spin around enough to expose the groove in the end of the axle. Using a very large flat screwdriver, prying in on that end the axle with the groove and forcing it towards the thrust block. This took a couple tries, but eventually I was able to slide it in further and give myself the space I needed for the clip to come out quite easily .

    A Normal Nut would also Work as long as it fits into the hex in the Plug. Half of Nut goes into Plug, other half that sticks out is to grab onto with Wrench. And You do not have to mess up Your Tools.

    Am i stupid? I gave up because i couldnt pull the clip. I have the 8.5 inch rear diff, had enough clearance on each side of the c clip so that i thought it was ready to come out but wouldnt fn pull. Tried 3 magnets. The magnet off the diff case fit in the c clip slot the best but no dice on pulling the damn thing out. I gave up. Was in the rear axle to fix leaks and figured would install new wheel bearings and seals but noooooo. Wtf. Why did i fail? Also, where do i find the exact same magnet you used

    When putting the C-clip back in, does it matter if you have the rounded edge facing outboard or inboard?

    • @alaskangurilla3497
      @alaskangurilla3497 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The rounded edge goes inside the flat edge goes outside if you havnt figured it out yet

    You should go a bit slow when using the surface cleaner. You’re not letting the nozzle hit the dirty floor long enough to clean it out. You’re using it as if you’re mopping or sweeping. Check other videos on how others do it slow letting the surface cleaner do its magic. I’m not dogging or bashing you I would like for you to get the proper use of the tool so you can enjoy it and have the areas nicely clean and shinning. 🫵🏼🙏🏼

    Thank you. Indeed, it was accurate. Had a check engine light and severe shaking upon acceleration, thought it was the clutch or tranny slipping. Turned out it was a cracked coil. Replaced the coil and the Panamera is working like a fucking champ.

    That only measures the top litre of oil. There’s probably still around 3 litres in it.

    My chevette used to magically lose oil. Never smoked or leaked, but every few weeks I'd check and it would be 4 liters low. I used it for deliveries for years. I ended up buying a newer one and put that engine in it. I ran morning till night for many years till someone bought it. It was so cheap on gas i didn't care about the oil. The light never came on. Probably burned out.

    Got my first car at 18. A 1985 hatchback. I didn't know what an oil change was. Didn't know it was a thing. Until someone stole it after I had it for 13 months & 14k miles. They stole an air filter, and when i took it to the shop for repairs, the tech asked WTF i did with the oil. I can now change out oil, air, fuel filters, a whole ass radiator and fuel pump. I truly never want to feel that stupid again!!

    I agree man i work for a shop and joke with customers all the time about their high mileage Hondas and Toyotas. When they ask how their 09 civic with 200K+ miles is doing…I tell them exactly “it’s a Honda, you don’t even have to put oil in it and she’s good for 300k” 😂

    • @JDtheVagitarian

      Right…technically the stick is only reading the last quart of oil….by if the dipstick is reading nothing, it’s hard to know if it’s only a quart or so low, or if it’s bone dry!

    My dad worked as a machinist and foreman his whole life. He had a coworker who was a grown ass man that was afraid of pneumatic anything. Probably cause he was a dipshit and popped himself in the face multiple times before swearing it all off.
