Love Hurts Trailer Reaction
If my algorithm didn't tell me what new movies are coming out I don't know how else I would find these. I haven't been in the movie theatre since Boxing Day, so I have no clue what trailers are being played right now. But, I'm glad I am hunting down trailers and reviewing them, and figuring out what films I really wanna see in the months to come, and Love Hurts is looking like a fun action comedy that I will most likely end up seeing during its opening weekend. I'm a sucker for a good action film, and I am also very curious to see what Ke Huy Quan delivers in his latest film since 2022's Everywhere All At Once.

The Amateur (2025) - Trailer Reaction
มุมมอง 82 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Well, well, well, my TH-cam home page algorithm has struck once again, and served me up another trailer for a movie that I had no clue was coming out this year. Sure, The Amateur isn't coming out till April, that's only like 3 months away now, but, I'm glad I found it, because this movie looks like its gonna rip. You got a bunch of great actors in this weird movie action/thriller about a man wi...

Sometimes when I'm chillin' after a long day of work, I'll just endlessly doom scroll my homepage and lately my algorithm has been starting to change and feed me new movie trailers. Also, I am a s...

You know what? I actually like Jack Quaid, I think the guy is funny, and plays a great nerd out of water type of character. Now, after watching Novocaine, I see we have Jack as a nerdy bank manager with a unique set of skills, the skill being, he cannot feel anything, he ...

I've been working on this list for a couple days now, and I kinda wished I made better notes of the films I liked, but, I still had a short list jotted down which is better than nothing. Of course the smart business idea is to release a movie about a werewolf in January, because January is known as the spooky season of the winter. I'm on Christmas break, a nice little 4 day holiday from work, and I saw a few trusted movie sources drop their annual most anticipated lists. He has so much Meg in him
Mate what a great video, you deserve way more views and subs - they'll come I'm sure. I didn't enjoy Alien: Romulus as much as you did. Looked great and had its moments, but it was too reliant on past entries rather than truly being its own thing. Late Night with the Deveil was fun. A great idea, but should've leaned into its retro aesthetic more. Love Lies Bleeding and The Substance kicked ass. My top 5 FWIW: Robot Dreams All of Us Strangers Dune Part Two The Substance A Different Man
Hey, Dawg. I really appreciate your comment, and I figure if I keep working at it, more people will come and stick around, too. I can see where you are coming from with Alien: Romulas, and I think that's an honest critique that most alien fans have, and I think they tried to hit a balance between old and new to give us fans a new point to start the franchise from, and I think they succeeded in that regard. Hopefully, we get another film, and they start doing their own thing a little more. For Late Night, I wished they leaned a little more into the occult and secret society stuff, and I think there is some history between Jack and June that could have been explored a little more in the black and white scenes... but, in general great film. I'm glad someone else watched Love Lies Bleeding aside from me. Your top 5 has a few I haven't heard of before, and now I'm gonna have to find them and watch them to see what I have missed. 😊
Totally agree on Pierce Brosnan.
He was great in Black Adam and that's saying something about Pierce's aura on the screen.
Grace Randolph put Saturday night live on her worst list.
Well, maybe she isn't a fan of SNL in general? I think it was a nice little film about an important moment in time for television. Sure, I didn't think the cast was the best to play these legendary comedic actors, but, it was a good tension building time driven movie. The only question I really have about the movie is "Why? and who really cares about SNL anymore? Who was this film for? The 40+ crowd?"
Great list!
Thanks, dawg :)
Kingdom of the planet of the apes was absolutely fantastic. Definitely in my top 10 for 2024.
It was entertaining, and I thinking of ape movies, I forgot to put Godzilla x Kong on the list, just another fun damn time at the theatre. I can't wait for another POTA movie entry in this new era of the Apes.
I will try substance when it's on a streamer I can watch for free.
It will be worth your time, I promise.
Holy cows! There are three movies on your best list that I didn't even see. Substance, boy kills World, Love lies bleeding.
I believe all 3 can be streamed on Prime now?? I know Boy Kills World you can for sure.
Late night with the devil was a banger. Definitely one of the best horror films this year.
I really enjoyed it too, got the brain thinking about the possibilities you can make with a small cast and limited budget
Love lives bleeding on your best list? I did not see it but I really enjoyed. Katie O'Brien in twisters.
Twisters was a good time, but they didn't utilize my girl Katie enough in it. I might be the only person who saw Love Lies Bleeding in theatre... if you watch it, I hope you enjoy it.
Great video. Thank you!
Your welcome dawg
I was impressed with black phone as well.
I don't think we need a sequel, so i am curious as to how they will go about doing that. But, I enjoyed the first one so the second one will definitely get my eyes on it.
I'm on the fence as to weather Mickey, 17 will be good or not. But I've trusted Robert Pattinson lately and he's been hitting some bangers. He was fantastic in tenet. He's fantastic in the Batman.
Well, I love sci fi movies so anything weird and sci fi I'm definitely interested in, and the trailer is promising... only time will tell.
You haven't watched the Paddington movies? Dude, they're fantastic. They're a pure delight.
Maybe I will sit down and give them a watch some day. Maybe, a rainy day or sick day type of film.
Oh I guess I didn't realize that. Are you not a Marvel guy?
I'm a DC guy first, a Marvel guy second, and my fav marvel stuff is the Xmen, blade, Spiderman, hulk, fantastic four... I wasn't really a big avengers guy. And everything after End Game has been pretty underwhelming and mid... I hope they bounce back with Fantastic Four.
I am excited about den of thieves 2!
I just rewatched Den Of Theives on Netflix this week. So, I'm ready for the sequel.
I wasn't recognizing Amber Midthunder so I looked her up. She's done a lot but I only saw her in three things. Prey /Hell or high water / Ice road. First two were very good. Ice road was just okay.
I don't remember her in Hell of High Water, but I do remember her as the lead in Prey. Its good to see her stock rising as she gets more roles in Hollywood.
Yeah, I think those situations where the actor talks directly to the camera to you. That only works. If you're a big star. This guy, I don't know if I've ever seen him in any other movie. I agree that opening to the trailer itself should have been cut.
I don't think us blue collar workers want to be talked to by any movie star nowadays, just entertain me, I don't need them to pre game hype me up before a movie trailer begins. It's almost like this is cut for a theatrical released trailer, to give you the heads up that the trailers are about to begin, and they just said lets reuse it for TH-cam too, no one will notice... But I noticed, damn it. HAHAHAHA!
Hey, that was Spider-Man's best friend in there! I like that actor - Jacob Batalon.
I saw that, I was gonna make a comment about Spideys bro being in this film too.
Looks like a good movie not sure when will come out in Australia I will go and see the movie always like tom Cruise and aeroplane movies-new subscriber
Thanks for the sub, dawg. You got Mel Gibson directing it as well. Lots of upside to this areoplane movie, I hope you enjoy it. I'll most likely drop a review whenever I get around to seeing the film.
Nothing “mid” about Amber Midthunder….. she’s a qt patootie
Which movie you crank more to: love lies or substance ?
I do have a thing for muscle mommies. 😉😉
Great list and very unique! Did you catch Oddity or Blink Twice? And I liked the Beekeeper too 😂
I didn't see the Oddity, and I wanted to see Blink Twice, but work got in the way. I really want a beekeeper 2, and I'll try and catch Blink Twice on streaming soon.
Brutal slate of movies.... might be worse than 2024?
If this is the best the big studios have to offer... we might be cooked. I noticed no Neon or A24 films on their list either... interesting
I watched this trailer reaction on my big screen - just sat down and watched it for enjoyment. Most of the time I listen to reviews and don't watch the content. The only other reviewer I do that with (just sit down and focus and watch and don't multitask) is Grace Randolph. Thanks again for a great Trailer Reaction!
Thanks for that compliment, I think me and Grace are two wildly different vibes. I'm honored to be in that tier of people who talk about the movies. Thanks dawg.
I am all in on this movie for one reason. JULIA GARNER! She played Ruth Langmore on Netflix's Ozark (2017-2022) and was the best thing on a great show. I think she is Brilliant Hollywood Star at the beginning of her Arc!
She is the shinning light in the trailer, hence why I picked her image for the thumb, I really liked her in Ozark as well.
I really dig that you gave your bias about the film before the review. I really think you are very genuine and transparent and it stands out because I am now realizing that many other reviewers I watch being a TON of AGENDA into their reviewers. Your reviews feel free from agenda.
What you see is what I am like in real life, and I'm trying to approach this movie thing from my pov... I work, I earn money, I spend money on this form of entertainment. No one is paying me, end I enjoy that luxury, so i can always speak from my wallet and not schill because I got paid to or a free movie ticket.
@@popcornbeard Spot on!
Dude! Loving this new content option from you channel!
Thanks dawg, it's a little quicker for me to do things while juggling my work life too.
The movie was dogshit. Horrible directing and acting. And lily rose conflicted weeping and crying every other minute makes this movie so unbearable. And the relationship between them makes it’s so lame
nailed it
"It's Gothic Horror Romance, duh, you don't get it." Just kidding, dawg. You nailed it... when you get past the frills, it's a weak story with an anticlimactic ending.
Trailer looked scary, It looks good, it's a body horror movie so it'll be grotesque, they said they pulled inspiration from the fly, I'm going to check it out, hopefully it's decent
I like the things you are saying. But, i don't have any faith in Blumhouse Productions, knowing them, the cool grotesque 'Fly' inspired effects will be shown off camera. It's rating is 14A, so it's a 50/50 chance we see anything cool on camera.
@ yeah I understand your concern with it by blumhouse, I heard invisible man was good but I haven't seen it yet. I'm a wolfman/werewolf fan too, so I'm hoping it's cool but we will find out soon enough
Never underestimate Mel Gibson as the director. Even his least popular film, Man Without A Face is a good movie
I agree. My interest grew as soon as I saw Directed By Mel Gibson.
I will see this with my Regal Pass but I this is one of those times when I get why many viewers don't care about Period Piece Films. I think the question is "Do I care about Olympians being taken hostage 52 year ago?" I don' t know if the the answer to that is yes.
Oh yah, i could probably use my canadian version of the regal pass, the plex pass, or whatever it is called. One free movie a month, that might be a new category to add going forward. Also, that's a good point, who cares in 2025 about the 1982 Olympics that had a potential terrorist threat... like I care because I never heard of such a thing ... however, this movie is definitely earmarked for 40+ viewership.
This was a particularly helpful trailer review because I have been seeing this poster for a while and been hearing other reviewers talk about the movie but I know I idea what it was about and it was not being played in front of movies I was seeing so it was great to watch it first time with you. Very cool.
I've seen den of theives played in front of so many movies now, but this movie, which comes out in January, hasn't been seen once... like I said I didn't even know it existed until I saw these anticipated lists.
Great Trailer Reaction! I like that you pause the video and give more in-depth verbal responses. Grace Randolph always lets the video roll all the way through (responding with short quips during the video) and then does longer exposition after the video is done. I like the pause method you use - I think it is better.
Yah, that was a suggestion from Jake to do the pauses when I got something to say. I think it works nicely, just hope my volumes work, etc.
@popcornbeard I have no problem hearing - sounds good.
I'm thinking that this entire series exists as a personal favor to Mark Wahlberg. These are all his friends with no work and so this is probably a series that is being done as a favor to Mark Wahlberg just to get Mark Wahlberg to sign on to some project that Apple or Sony or some other studio wants him in. This is literally like a swag bag for him.
Interesting, I didn't know that. I was looking into it, and it hasn't been picked up by anyone yet... maybe it's not streaming in Canada yet.
This used a lot of the talent from Entourage. I actually really liked Entourage. I watched the entire series.
I actually never watched Entourage.
This looks like they have some decent talent. But the premise is terrible. Does anyone care if Charlie Sheen can get back on his feet? Does anyone care if a struggling podcast studio can podcast? Yeah this is a terrible, terrible premise. Also this is done by the guy who did Entourage. He used a ton of talent from that. But I'm not sure he should have.
I like Charlie Sheen, and that's the selling factor of the show to me. Could put him in anything right now, and I'd be interested in watching what he is doing.
Thank you very much for the review.
One thing I'm really excited about is this is one of the times where I'm watching the trailer for the first time but I'm watching it with you. It's pretty cool.
I'm gonna look for more trailers to review that we both haven't seen before.
Yeah! Thank you!
Ya welcome. Thanks for putting this movie on my radar
Video reaction request- death of a unicorn 2025
As you wish!
I don't understand the purpose of this movie. It's a movie nobody asked for.
Well, with Cobra Kai making the Karate Kid IP popular again, I'm not surprised SONY would want to try and get the old movie IP off the ground and generating some cash once again. I'm kinda surprised they are merging the two worlds together to make one fresh story, which has peaked my interest at lease. I think if they just followed Han from the Jaden Smith Karate Kid movie, no one would care, and personally my interest would be nonexistent. Hopefully we are all surprised and its an enjoyable movie. :)
Tuesday Movie. Good way of Movie Ranking.
I had a wordier version originally, but my dawg Jake tightened it up for me.
I think this was scheduled for May but got moved back.
According to google "The release was pushed to avoid competition with other films in October 2024" oh I wasn't looking at this movie as a potential Oscar winning film at all. :O
I never saw "Fear Is In the Air". Interesting. Did not even know it existed.
Its called Turbulence, I highly recommend it if you can find it streaming to rent or buy online. :)
Yeah, I wonder why they made Mark bald. It does seem odd.
Mark is so well known as a pretty boy, I guess to make him more villainy is to make him look like Clarence Boddicker (Kurtwood Smith) from Robocop.
A bit like tom Cruise tropic thunder mark Wahlberg has got those big Head movie affects

Ya welcome Dawg, more to come as people request them or whenever hollywood releases them. :)
I would love to hear your thoughts on the casting for each major role in this film - whether Gunn got the choices right or not. Know you are busy - just requesting.
I'm not sure if that is something I'd like to tackle, but I do have a few ideas kicking around that I might explore in the new year. As always it comes down to time. 😊
