You can't see Mt everest well from base camp. You should climb to kalapather to get perfect view. I am surprised how sherpa didn't say that. Also could you please share how much did sherpa charge to accompany you? Just wonderful video and experience. Will climb some day soon.
@@roninr8199 thank you. Yeah I knew about Kalapathar which is 300 mtrs above to Gorakshep. Bad thing is I am out of charge that night and we have climbed next day early morning 4am to see a beautiful sunrise which was very stunning 😍.
@@vamsithecool oh ok. So you went back and again came back to base camp due to bad vicibilty? How much did sherpa charge you? Do we have to pay for his food and accommodation too?
@@roninr8199 no. On day 7 we will go to Gorakshep from Lobuche which is 2 hrs. We will take room and have lunch. And afternoon will leave to basecamp from Gorakshep which is 2 hrs. Again we will return to Gorakshep from base camp which is 2 hrs. We will rest for that day. Next day early morning we will wake up and go Kalapathar and come back to Gorakshep and have breakfast. Then it's time to start our return trek on Day 8 and we will keep on coming down and it took me 3 days to reach Lukla. I went with a local agency which charged me 60k for food, guiding and accomodation, passes etc.
@@vamsithecool 60k NPR or INR? If we do it by ourself without flight to lupka then I read that we can do it in inr 25k Whether 60k includes flight from khatmandu to lukla?
@@roninr8199 It's 60k INR. And flights additionally 25k INR.. other expenses 10k to 20k.. all together 80k to 1 lac INR back then. Now prices increased and new rule that we need to hire a sherpa and should not go alone it seems as I read.
