Berman forever! His music will always be worth half hours on earth
So good, he gave us all a gift 🤘❤️
<3
love Dave Berman, can listen to this over and over
I love how he sounds a bit Lou Reed. Picture Lou Reed doing folk/Americana/country. Surreal.
A master. The world didn’t deserve his brilliance, but also he deserved to be happy. RIP David and thank you for making our lives better.
why r they the cutest baned ever
Hopefully those in attendance know what they witnessed...
Far from the best live performer out there. But that might have made his moments all the more impactful. What a man. RIP DCB and Happy Birthday.
Poor bastard. Love him so much
Rest Easy, David
Crying and listening to dcb again lol- I should start a journal or something lol I mean it’s gotta happen at least once a week. This time catalyzed when he seamlessly gave that shoutout to Cassie. I’ve never heard these recordings. they sound great, considering the limitations of the time- and I am extremely grateful for them. I didn’t know the could have so much stage chemistry…what a treasure
One of the greatest songs ever written.
Please never take this down
Well, at least U tube isn’t completely worthless. It’s got this.
he looks really good here. it's comforting to see. RIP <3
Thank you so much for sharing this ♥
This song and this particular performance have been played many times this year. This has been a real year of deconstruction and refocusing for me. I hope when I come back to this song in the future I'm in a better place, hope everyone listening to it now gets better too.
I just came back after 5 years of opiate addiction. I am clean for the first time in 5 years and I can actually enjoy listening to this music again. I didn't listen to any of my favorite music during that time. It used to make me so sad, reminded me of all the good times that were in the past. Now it gives me hope for the future. I never would have thought I'd be clean right now, but I feel amazing. God bless everyone and don't stop dreaming.
Hope both of you are good in 2024
'deconstruction and refocusing' you sound like a pussy. Get on with it.
God I still cannot believe he's gone...
🌹🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻🌹
I miss you David.
🌺🌺🌺🌺❤️❤️❤️❤️🌺🌺🌺🌺
She is truly captivated by her husband. I love it.
He was a very captivating human. Wish he hadn't left us too early :(
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's a shame this man lacked confidence. I believe he deserves awards for his poems. He has helped so many of us. RIP Mr. Berman!
David Berman forever!
WHO calls this music?
Me
David Evans me & transcendent at that 🙌🏻❤️❤️
What are half hours on Earth worth?
ME
You would have to average 5 beers a day for 27 years to get to 50,000
Some days I drink more than five beers...
And?
Way ahead of ya
Doable
So you're saying there's a chance
Lo únic dolent que hi ha és sa gravació del directe, vaja mescla es van marcar els tècnics. Lo altre és fotudament amazing. Gran cançó i gran lletra. PD: JOlines, el retardando del final és genial, llàstima que sa bateria soni molt fluixa.
"How can something so old be so wrong." Man, so much in that line.
Favorite line ever
Deserves half-hours of thinking...
@@gillescoin2374So you're already done.
Please create more music for all of us drunken night owls to soak up...
@M.D. B. Yeah dude..
So true. All my favorite singers couldn't sing. I have too much respect for David as a thinker/poet/person to discount him based of any perceived flaws in a live performance-- for me this has been one of those videos I always find myself coming back to
//DISENTANGLED// ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I lived in Bloomington at this time. I'll always be upset that I missed this show.
listen to this every day
You must be really torn up about the loss. 😢😢😢😢😢
It's too bad the sound is not that good, you can barely hear the bass...
@1077726 david purrman?
"it's been evening all day long"
"Sin & gravity, drag me down to sleep to dream of trains across the sea.."
I literally cannot stop listening to this song.
seen him a few times - he was drunk on this take. But I'll take a sloppy Berman over a crisp "field" any day
It was the vocals that first attracted me to Silver Jews. Some very Lou Reed tones in there which I like.
Me, too.
be sooooo wrong
take a walk on the wild side
He reminds me of Leonard Cohen and yes that would be a compliment.
Berman is the greatest poet since Dylan..and they're both jewish :P
"All my favourite singers couldn't sing."
Comments are either against the vocals or in defense of the vocals as "unique." Conclusion: The band needs better vocals :)
David ? Berman ? C. ??
I love this group so much. Berman's voice is unique and I dig it. To each their own. Live and let live.
...and a little bit of crash test dummies' lead singer, what's his name, not sure if you're from canader Urban Flute
rainbow?? r u kidding me? that's like my fav band!!! dude!
hey redddsleddd, aaaa9uh, what's that code for???), this isn't usually my scene, but it appesars you have a lot of time on your hands...urbanflute? yeah, it's code for f you, dude, grab a life and go diss some band that is a little more deserving, you know like your haircut 100 band that you love so much, etc
