It is a total shame that DX Engineering stopped offering this antenna... I've had mine up for close to 10 years now.. It has gone through countless storms. It was so easy to setup...hammer a piece of galvanized water pipe in the ground, stretch out some radials and push in some yarn staples to hold down the radials...hook up the coax.... took less than and hour with the help of the YL. (But I did have the radials cut and the coax ran) Yes , it's basically just a thin fiberglass tube with a 14ga wire up the middle... but it works great.. and I bought it new for $99 ... This has got to be the perfect antenna for 40m ... Used in unicense with a dipole, you have got 40m covered.. Living in SW Missouri the Antenna hits PA perfectly and other states that have the equivalent distance from my location.. It is a shame the quit offering it... I know it probably didn't make them as much money .. Also many hams are prudes when it comes to their equipment and believe you have to have Aluminum in the air.. and theory says it should be narrow banded , which it is not.... I wished I'd bought at least 2 at the time..One for mobile use..because they collapseeasily.... Yes it's paint has bleached out and it's closer to a gray color than a green.. but it sure works well still.. Too bad it's not offered anymore..

The companies seen in this fire video adn the second fire video have merged and become Station 5. The Federal Signal STH-10A heard in this video sounded off today for a porch fire. Ladder 11, now Truck 5, responded with Car 5 and M.I.C.U. 1-91, but M.I.C.U. 1-91 got disregarded. I was over on 15 watching the unsanctioned ride come through, and it wasn't a moment too soon that the siren sounded off and the guys got into full turnout gear to respond to the call. After leaving, I was coming down Sidney Street, right near Rommelt, and Williamsport Bureau of Fire Engine 3-1 came by. I should have the Truck 5 response video posted soon. My brother recorded the response on his iPhone 11, which is the identical phone to mine, except his has a different case and is black where mine is white and has a Phillies case.

You have 3 ribbons one muti color Brown , green with stripes is the European theatre medal. The red , white, and blue colors I the American Campaign Ribbons, there should have been a medal for that too. Your right about the the Good Conduct, could of been awarded more than one, if a career man+20. The medals with tabs on bottom are weapons qual tabs the other is a driver's medal for driving safety or so many miles With no accident or other incidents. Everything else is pretty much what the rest responding said the lapel pin, Branch insignia was aviation for his unit. But don't Think the one who said Airborne was right. He would have had Jump wings didn't see that in video. Hope this helps. Served in DS and Iraq multiple tours

i remember walking outside at 9 in evening and being able to see the blaze. we never had to evac. now i volunteer for and for 2 1/2 years. some times become harder then other years in fire seasons.
