Do you need a wakeboard boat with ballast etc to use this or can I just use a regular bow rider inboard merc cruiser and put this on and have a “wake”.
@brett1618 FlipSurf will create a longer, taller, cleaner wave on any boat. But you will definitely get and even better wave if you have ballasts. The deeper your boat is in the water, the better the wave you'll have. But having FlipSurf on your boat is a must-have to create a perfect surf wave. You can use people as ballasts at first and if the wave isn't giving you enough push to let go of the rope, then we'd recommend getting some ballast bags.
How is the bracket attached?
The magnetic brackets attach to the boat with a strong double-sided 3M tape. They attach very securely but is also removeable if you need to adjust the location or take them off your boat.
what is the maximum distance u can put the flip surf from the back of your boat. in my scenario, the back of my boat angles in so there is not enough room for the flip surf
We haven't tested to see how far forward you can put your FlipSurf and still create an awesome wave but we do have some customer who have put it 2 - 3 feet from the back and it creates a killer wave.
