Eventually I probably will, but for now I am happy with my trailer.

In FL the only required insurance is going to be commercial auto and GL. Different states may have different requirements though. You can also add inland marine to the conversation as a good idea, but optional (at least here). GL is fairly cheap, but commercial auto can vary from about $5-6k a year to $30k+ depending on driving record, location, equipment type, and number of trucks.

One of the owners actually got started in the industry by doing truck bodies in his back yard. Their not doing trucks at the moment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t up fit me a truck in the not so distant future!

First you’ll want to find a service provider to know who can actually pick it up and dump it from time to time. There is a variety of lifting systems and rail widths/lengths. Buy a dumpster used is pretty simple once you know what you need. You can find them in the roll off groups on Facebook or even call some companies that have been around a while and try to buy one of their older ones. Just be aware if it’s sitting in a field for 12 months a year it’ll rust much faster. Ideally you’ll want it on blocks or something to slow the rusting down.

I backed over a low stump and it pulled the bumper forward. Now I’m trying to push it backwards.

@@MAXCODumpsters try running over the stump in the opposite direction? 🤷‍♂️

I pull my coupler/jack handle, and lock the chains and power cable in the pump box. I should probably invest in a Kraken lock, but I’ve let trackers and insurance be my safety net. Coupler locks are useless without bolt locks, and spending $500-$600 each trailer for both coupler and bolt locks sounded unappealing to me when I had three of them. There’s definitely better ways to protect your equipment, but it’s done me good so far. 😅
