Superman Tribute
มุมมอง 24K16 ปีที่แล้ว
A musical tribute to the character of Superman and to all the actors, writers, directors, producers and artists of all types who've made the Man of Steel fly. - This was a labor of love for me, cut to song "It's Not Easy" by the group "Five for Fighting." I made this prior to the release of "Superman Returns" and it has not yet been updated to reflect the contributions of Brandon Routh and Brya...
Ice Dream Effects
มุมมอง 23616 ปีที่แล้ว
A companion to the short "Ice Dreams." This shows the before and after of video shots I was playing with processing in Photoshop to give interesting or unusual looks.
Chess
มุมมอง 6616 ปีที่แล้ว
A daughter wins her first game of chess against her father. This was a Class Exercise in the Year Three Cinematography class. Basic introduction to exposing film. No blocking, two seated subjects, focus on production basics. Then the film was lost on the way to the lab for months. With it turned up the can had been opened. We processed it anyway and this is what we got.
Ice Dreams
มุมมอง 15516 ปีที่แล้ว
A child recounts a strange, unsettling dream she had. This was actually a test for my first attempt using Photoshop to manipulate video images, as opposed to just stills. My young actress daughter provided the framework by playing a child who describes random images from her disturbing dream.

This reel represents my work as a Director of Photography (Cinematographer). I was the DP on all films and clips shown here. The reel includes action scenes, love scenes, visual effects work, some aerial, underwater and scenic photography as well. You may recognize some of the films or some of the actors.
A few more to add...

this is also what may have happened to the 1967 mgm film vault fire all very rare films may have been lost for good
Jesus. As a filmmaker watching this is like watching an act of terrorism somewhat. :-(
I'm an audiovisual archivist, I feel you. But it's FOR SCIENCE! I just can't help but wonder what records were just destroyed.
Helps to kill Nazi's.
dude, this is literally an amazing video....outstanding job
Really is a great video, thanks...
OMG Amazing, really needs more views that was great both the song and then all the videos were put in at all the right times good job.
But, it didn't ignite :D So, it's probably safe.
Oh, wait, he's burning the safety. ._.
I think he did the restoration and put it on safety film, while the unrestored one is the nitrate. So, fret not.
Just imagine the fire which destroyed the 1967 vaults of this type of film - and sadly the lost film "London After Midnight" ! Those explosions were heard all over West Los Angeles in 1967 MGM fire.
Nitrate smoke. Don't breath this.
Will it Blend!?
but can this film explode like others claim?
This is, by far, the best Superman tribute on youtube. The editing and timing are superb..
Yes it burns! But will it blend? Nitrate smoke. Don't breath this! All kidding aside this type of film is very dangerous and just nasty once it's on fire. I'm thankful that the film I have (regular 8mm from the 60's) was shot on safety film (as a consumer product and late date it would be safety film regardless). As for burning history, not really. I'm sure this trailer was a copy.
If this video hasn't convinced you of the danger of nitrate film, consider this: You cannot put out a nitrate fire by conventional means because when nitrate breaks down under those conditions, it produces enough of both fuel and oxidizer to sustain the fire.
get another hobby and yea, dont breathe this "smoke" in
you did a great job with the tribute to superman also that fact that you listed all superman actor nicely done it was an honor to watch this
very very impressive!!
that transition at :26 is brilliant! great job!
why would you burn a trailer like that? that's a piece of history that many people like me would love to have.
This is pretty damn awesome, nice work!
Wonderful demonstration ! I have intended to burn a Nitrate clip film on testing mode to witness how danger to me and my environmential area, but this video presentation has saved my day and time ! Thanks !!
For those of you who didn't get the message behind the song. The message is that under the suite and the persona of Superman Clark Kent was only a man. In addition, it shows normal men that they too can be super. GREAT JOB RClabaugh!
useful, thanks
