Hello, you are talking about rubber cover of the scanner, right? I guess it become hard after a few years, there is gap between the front housing and the rubber cover, insert a plastic card into the gap, then you can remove it.

I finally got it off, there is not much play in the cover as it seems to be a hard plastic and it took a while to finegle it off. The digitizer model I have is F-WGJ10165-V3, does this have to be replaced with this model or is there an updated model? I am seeing models ending with V4 and V5, could those be used?
